We just got back Friday night from 5 nights at ASMu! We had a great time. We arrived at MCO around 9:30 am, rented a car and arrived at the resort around 11:30 am. To our surprise, not only was our room ready, but we got our requested king size bed and ground floor! We were in Calypso 10, on the back side of the pool right by the parking lot. Very convenient to Melody Hall, the bus stops, etc. We had no problems with loudness, or anything like that. The staff at the resort was super helpful and nice. The bus service was really great-no problems whatsoever. We pretty much had our own bus to the parks every day. During the day we did share with ASSp coming home from EPCOT and MGM. If anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to try to answer. We also did MVMCP two nights 11/12, and 11/16.

Thanks for the review! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at ASMu.

Glad to hear you had a great stay. We'll be at ASMu in a month!:cool1:

How did you like the new rooms and beds? My DD wouldlike to know if you go towle animals? Thanks in advance.

The new beds are very comfortable. The rooms are very clean and nice. We got a big towel Mickey head upon arrival but that was it :)

was there anyone there doing sihouettes or caricature drawings?

Thank you.

Do they offer Airline luggage check in at the resort ?

I'm almost positive you can check your baggage and airline check-in at any of the resorts, as long as you are doing ME and are flying with a participating airline. We flew Southwest, which is not one of the participating airlines.

Thanks for the upbeat report. DH & I are going there in January - wanted to switch to a quieter resort than POP. Can't wait to see the refurbished rooms......have heard that they have changed quite a bit from the ones we stayed at eons ago. :goodvibes

We are going next week. This will be our first stay at ASMu and I was a little worried about how we would like it. The rooms sound nice since being redone. How was the Disney Bus System? Did you have many stops going to the parks and about how long did it take to get to MK? Also, did you have any little ones with you and if so did they like ASMu? Thanks in advance.

yes, they did have someone in the daytime during charicatures in the lobby.

We stayed at ASMo 10/2 - 11/6. There was a lady doing caricatures she was excellent. Our DD's both had theirs done and we were very pleased! :thumbsup2

Yes, they do. I remember seeing a list of participating airlines in the lobbyat ASMo. The only one that I can remember is AA.

The bus system worked great. We usually had no other stops on the way to the parks. It took about 12 minutes to get to MK from ASMu. One day we did stop to pick up at ASMo, but it was really no big deal. We did share with ASSp coming back from EPCOT and MGM during the day. Also no big deal, as the buses were running very regularly. No, we didn't have any little ones with us, but I'm sure they would love the bright colors and fun pool.

Good choice! The day we were leaving, we decided to drive by POP to grab a tie-dye cheesecake for me (I LOVE those!). The bus stops were PACKED with people, the food court was PACKED with people, and the main pool area was PACKED. Granted it was a Friday morning around 10 am...but it was still way more crowded than ASMu which we had just left. I think ASMu is a great choice for those wanting a little more quiet and less crowds than the POP. :)

I'm so glad to hear all of the positive things abouth ASMu. We'll be there 01/06-13 and it will DH's first time to stay at a value. I was afraid it would be too hectic for him but now I'm thinking it might be okay!

Thanks so much...I am new around here...we leave in a week and a half for our trip!

I was wondering if they had hair dryers in the rooms at ASMu? I am hoping I don't have to pack one :)

Yes they do have hairdryers, they are mounted on the wall outside of the bathroom by the sink

Please do a review when you get home. I will be staying at my first value resort in 4 months and I'm nervous since we always stay deluxe.
