Just back - general dining observation

Hi Everyone,

We returned a week ago today from WDW. Our last trip was 10 months ago in November 2008. I wanted to say we have one observation about the food and restaurants we ate it ...

Without exception it seemed that the food quality has improved in the intervening months. We ate at some of the same restaurants, some different ones, and at some counter service places where we don't normally eat. Without exception the food was good. I don't mean tolerable, I mean good.

We had some very good and noteworthy meals: Tusker House, Kona Cafe, Cape May Cafe and the Whispering Canyon cafe stand out. We also had a very good meal at Rose and Crown. Le Chefs de France was ok, and we could've skipped it. We even ate at the Studio Catering Company and Cosmic Rays, and we enjoyed both.

Our award for most over-rated place goes to Beaches n' Cream.

Anyway, that's just our observations.

How funny that you just came back a week ago and your last trip was Nov 08---SAME as us!!! And I absolutely agree with you. We found the food to be really good, definitely improved!! We ate at Teppan Edo, Tony's, SciFi, Le Cellier, Ohana and Coral Reef. I have to give most improved to Coral Reef. My DD and DH had lobster ravioli and liked it a lot. I had the blackened catfish over pepperjack grits and it was spicy but very good! Last time we ate there it was totally forgettable, except for the ambience of course.

Well, I sure hope this is a trend because we were so unhappy with the quality of almost all the food this past June. Thank you for the report.
