Just back from WLV

We stayed at the villas before a cruise, and must say I am soooo in love with that resort! It was so relaxing, so enjoyable, that on our third day (which was supposed to be in some park somewhere) we all took a vote and elected to stay the whole day at the resort.

The theming is fantastic, the size of the room (we had just a studio) was just right, the peacefulness of the view from the balcony, the quality of Roaring Fork -- everything was perfect.

This was the fifth DVC resort we've stayed at, and it's near the top for sure.

We love it there also. It is our second favorite just behind BWV.

We tried to get Disney to thin or remove some trees between the resort and the lake but they refused.

WL was my favorite resort even before DVC. It was the first Deluxe Resort that we had ever stayed in and it spoiled me completely, couldn't go back to the values!!! With the addition of the DVC Villas, it is just wonderful. So glad that you had a great stay!

It is our home resort at WDW and while we haven't stayed there recently, some how we always make time to visit. It is the most relaxing resort on property IMO. When we first purchased, it was all they selling, but I couldn't be more happy with the purchase in 2001.

I have stayed there once in a studio and it is a gorgeous resort! So far we have stayed at SSR, VWL, BWV, BC and VB and liked all of them but theme-wise VWL is the winner. Location I like BWV and BC with the slight edge to BWV because I really like the Boardwalk! SSR I like the DTD proximity and what's not to like about Vero!?!

We actually bought resale just to get VWL. WL was always our favorite resort. I now like AKL as well and hope to buy in there soon. But VWL will always be my number 1.

I was able to switch from AKV to VWL this week! Last time we stayed at VWL was in 2009, looking forward to our stay!!!

My family and I also have VWL booked for 3 nights before our cruise in Oct. i can't wait!!!! I love the feel of the resort. Of course I've only been in the lobby waiting to eat at the WCC, but that little bridge has kept my DS well occupied!
