Just back from WL, any questions

We're just back from 8 days at the WL. We loved the resort. Kids(2&4) loved seeing the animal footprints and trying to figure out where they went to. Only real complaint was the fast food was kind of lacking in it's choices, but we only ate there a few times anyway.

We also got to be a flag family, I highly recommend doing it, it's some great views and alot of fun.

Glad you had a great time. And thank you for offering to answer questions. We are going in October, and we are very excited as that will be our first Disney Hotel stay.

What kind of room did you have and what was your view? If you had 2 queens, did the room seem "cramped"---I know the rooms are already small?

I may have other questions, but that's a start !

We had a woods view, but we were just overlooking the pool next door(not the main pool)

Yes we did had 2 queen beds and I have to say it did seem a bit cramped, especically with 2 little ones. It wasn't overly cramped but it was a bit.

Where was your room - what floor and were you off the lobby or down one of the halls?

Had you made any requests on your reservation? Were they met?

How was the A/C?

The pool looks a bit small in the pictures. What did you think?

Did you eat at Whispering Canyon? If so, how were the "antics"?

We were on the 6th floor. We actually started on the 3rd but when we got into the room it did not smell very good so we requested a new room and they moved us to just about the exact same spot but on the 6th floor (6138)

The A/C was weird, I could never get it as cold as I had it set for. The lowest we could get the room was about 68/69, yet we had it set down to 65. Maybe there's some master that doesn't allow the temp to get lower, not sure.

The pool size was ok, it's great for 2 kids as you can keep an eye on them, I think if I was alone it wouldn't be all that great. The "stream" falling into the pool is a very cool feature however.

We did eat at WC 3 times, the antics were pretty much everything that you read on the boards, the main thing being the ketchup and pony rides for the kids.

How was the transportation to the parks especially with two little ones? I've read that it isn't the best. Would you stay there again or somewhere else?

The transportation was not that bad. I think we waited about 10 min once or twice for buses, every other time we had a bus within 2 -3 min. We did have our own stroller so we had to fold that up each time, but we never had a full bus which would have made it difficult to bring on board.

We also used the boat to the MK a couple of times which worked out great. We did have a wait awhile for that as I think there's only 2 MK direct boats. The smaller boat to the FW and the Cont does require that you fold up the stroller so it's not quite as easy as the MK boat, but still it wasn't that crowded on the boat so it wasn't all that bad.

I would stay here again, the last time we stayed at the AKL and I think the transportation from here was better than when we stayed there. The MK direct made it easier and it seemed like the buses did come a bit faster
