Hello everyone-

I have never done a trip report and since I started work yesterday, I am not able to post pictures and all but I'll give a brief version of our trip.

Itinerary - [2 days off-property and 7 days on-property]

8/14 and 8/15 - Stayed at Best Western Lake Buena Vista (right down the street from Down Town Disney) - I didn't like it at all. A/C was not working and the shower head was spitting water like a Llama and there was no cold water!!! Never go back again!

8/16 - 8/23 - Caribbean Beach Resort - our favorite!

Free dining (our first time) and I must say we ate like Kings. We went to restaurants that we otherwise wouldn't (Chefs de France and Tutto Italia). Loved them both!

My thoughts [for whatever it's worth] is that we ate a whole lot of food and the meal credits are more than enough. Even for a good eater like myself. I didn't really like having to stick to a schedule for adr's but we managed. The weather was beautiful and even though it did rain a few days towards the end of our trip, none of the rain had an impact on our plans. When we were there last year, the pool at Old Port Royale was not open yet but it is really nice. It's larger with more slides and there are two hot tubs. Just a gorgeous, lush resort.

This trip was our 7th to WDW and we felt that it was as good as it has always been. I thought that the buses were a bit slower this trip but I can't say it was annoying. I felt that the shops we usually enter in order to cool off were hotter than the heat outside! This was very noticeable last year as well but I never posted a trip report or even a question to everyone else to see if it was only me.

All in all, we had a blast. We would have stayed for longer but I am a teacher and we started working yesterday. I cannot begin to express how much I miss WDW when I first get back from our trips. It's always bittersweet and also motivating to know you're only about a year away from returning. That is why this website is such a great resource to stay connected with other Disney lovers. Thanks for reading!
