Just back from a great trip with 12 family members to Vero for 4 days and then VWL for 2. Rental car prices were astronomical so we used YourRide for transportation to Vero, back to WDW, and then back to the airport.

Trip was great - beautiful but hot weather every day. The beach and pool at Vero were awesome - we practically lived in them. Our one park day was cloudy which helped keep the temps down a bit. Did an Illuminations cruise, ate at Whispering Canyon and Liberty Tree Tavern. Everyone had a ball - I'm happy to answer any questions.

Did you book your Illuminations Cruise 180 days in advance? That's the one thing I haven't been able to book for our trip coming up in late August. I've called WDW Play 4-5 times already, but there have been no openings. They tell me, however, that something may open up the week we arrive.

We're at the Yacht Club for 5 days and then drive down to Vero Beach for 5 days over Labor Day Weekend. We're lucky our kids don't go back to school until the 5th!

Is YourRide a car service? I assume it worked out fine. I'm curious because it's always good to have a back-up if for some reason driving were a problem.

Did you have a car at Vero? If not, how did you get around (or maybe you stayed around the resort)?

Glad to hear it was a good trip.

I would love to find out how much Yourride charged for the transportation to Vero and Disney. I've thought about doing that but was afraid it was too expensive.

I thought you could only book the speciality cruises 60 days in advance. Can you verify when they can be made? Thanks!

Oops, my typo. Sorry. I didn't mean to misinform or start rumors It was 90 days for the boat cruises and 60 days for Cinderella's Castle. It was 120 for a chef's table dinner at Victoria & Albert's that I wanted and it's 2years ahead that you can book Hoop De Doo....and so on. I need a spread sheet to keep track of all the dates.

We booked the Illuminations cruise right on the 90 day mark.

To answer the questions regarding YourRide - they charged $300 for the van itself (which fit all 12 of us easily including 2 in car seats). Then, because there were so many of us, they had to rent a small trailer thing for the luggage - that was another $100. So, the total trip from the airport to Vero, Vero to VWL, VWL to airport was $400. Then, of course we tipped on top of that.

We had planned to rent a car and a minivan and the best price we found was $800 - so we decided to go with YourRide.

We didn't have a car at the resort - which was fine - we never planned to leave anyway. We had 1 dinner out at Shutters, and 3 dinners in the room (we had a Beach Cottage so we took advantage of the kitchen). Then, we were able to enjoy a few meals out during the Disney portion of the trip.

I've always wondered what a towncar service would charge for transportation to Vero and back - that's not a bad price. I appreciate knowing about the Illuminations cruise booking as well. I've got all these reservation deadlines in my head and its hard to keep them all straight!

I start calling tomorrow for our Illumination Cruise in the AM. I don't think I will get lucky 2 years in a row,but it is to celebrate my grandmother's 85 birthday so it is worth a try.
