If you think WDW is expensive, it has nothing on Las Vegas. Wow did we get a case of sticker shock. I think we will stick to Mickey, food is cheaper, weather is nicer, and the pyrotechnics are better.

Sorry you didn't have a good time.
There's lots of cheap places to eat there. This is another reason why I recommend a rental car there. More access to places off of the strip and easier to get to the cheaper buffets.
Did you have a travel book with you that listed all of the restaurants by price? I find those very helpful.

The roller coasters at the various hotels are super expensive, that's for sure. What is it $8 a ride? Ouch. I think you can spen the day at the amusement park at Circus Circus for $30. But there isn't too much there.

Oh we had a good time, Rental car may have been an idea but the taxi rides were an adventure in themselves :teeth: . We just got a good case of sticker shock :teeth:

I totally agree with you!

I can get a full day of entertainment at WDW for $35 (1 day of a 10 day w/all the bells & whistes). In Vegas that's 10 minutes at a table, or the admission to one afternoon show, or two smaller attractions that will only take an hour each.

Entertainment at WDW is one of the best bargains around.

Food prices might be about even between the two, but at WDW the "cheap" food is usually much better than the "cheap" food you get in Vegas. Some of the less expensive options in Vegas are truly, truly scary!

You think food and entertainment is expensive in Vegas...well you should see my power bill in August!!!!!! Now, that is what you will call frightening!!!

Food expensive in Vegas?? Where the heck were you eating. My friends and I could feast for very little and like it. But then again, we do drink more than eat while there. But I never thought of the food in Vegas as being expensive though.

I agree with Vegasnative..........summer power bills here YIKES!!!!!!!! Last month my power bill was $275, we have solar screen and only keep the air at 78.

Bostonbrat, wow with solar screens and it was still $275!! Ouch, the BIG bills are still yet to come (July & Aug). Mine last month was $241, no solar screens and we also keep it at 78. Curse the hand that touches the thermostat! Our water bills are pretty high also. Last summer we had a water bill of $278. for August. Guess what we did in Oct? We put in the artificial grass in front, I said "no more!". We ran a little sprinkler lawn toy for the boys that month, and our sanitation services go on our water bill in Hend. (unlike the seperate bill in LV), but still that was minor $ on the bill. My water bill last month was $117., that is still a lot!! Oh, I just love the utility bills in the summer! :guilty:
