Just back from the WL after a long day of traveling! We were fortunate to switch our flight and caught the next to last flight out of Orlando!

It was scary down there....seeing sand bags in the lobby of the WL and everything tied down.

We don't get hurricanes here (not in my lifetime) and makes me thankfull for the snow!

I completely agree. Even the worst snowstorm I can remember (the blizzard of '78), we were able to stay in our homes and, even though we had no heat or power, we had our fireplace and food and no home damage. We're due to leave this Thurs to visit my in-laws in Sebring. Lo and behold, we wake up this morning and the eye of Jeanne is directly over Sebring with 94 mph winds! We haven't been able to get in touch with my in-laws and are worried. We also plan to visit Disney Sun and Mon of next week, with reservations at WL. I assume things will be back to normal at Disney by then, but I'm not so sure about my in-laws. We've heard it could be 3 weeks before some people get power back down there. As of now, we are definitely planning to continue with our trip and will be monitoring the situation down there very closely.

That would be a litle spooky with the sand bag thing. I have never been at Disney when they are in full alert mode, I bet that has to be an interesting experience.

Glad you got home safely..
