Just back from the Polynesian.

We loved Tokelau, it was close to everything, the Transportation center, main Poly building beach and volocano pool were all a short walk and there's a quiet pool right near by.

I concur! We have stayed in Tokelau twice. It is both convenient to everything and quiet. We have had garden view both times. The first time we were directly across from the quiet pool. Wonderful location! There was never anyone in the pool, but some cute ducks would wander by.

During our second stay, we were closer to the lagoon, and could see some of the EWP. That was nice as well.

Just adding my 2 cents, lol. We stayed at the Poly over Christmas - supposed to be one of the very busiest times and we wondered if there were any other families staying in Samoa with us. We didn't share the elevator all week and the only people we saw in the hallways were the Poly CM's. We requested Samoa due to location by GCH and pools (although too cold to swim all but one day!), and 3rd floor and had no expectations that the requests would be met since it was Christmas week but that is exactly what we got. We were next to the elevator and was worried about noise but I really felt like we had the whole 3rd floor to ourselves!

We had bkft nearly everyday at Capt. Cooks and there is a microwave and toaster. They sell oatmeal packets and grits, etc. for the microwave. The kids loved the donut selections of course.

We loved the Poly and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the input. Tokelau sounds great. I like the fact that it is close to the beach. I have been seeing a lot of posts about DVC. I am guessing that t stands for disney vacation club. What is this? We are so excited just to be staying on Disney property this time. Counting the days. Lisa

 Here's my confession: I just got back as well. I stayed at the BWI this time (adult trip for the marathon).

I missed the Poly. I missed it so much I went and "visited" it. It felt like home just to walk through, listen to the music, have a drink and relax. Can't wait to go back in May/June.

I'm glad you liked it as well.

Here's the link to the FAQ here at the Dis about DVC-

There are also DVC boards here at the Dis.

Hope that helps!

We also loved Tokelau. We had room 2908 and it looked directly at Hawaii bldg. But we did have a nice shot of the lagoon and GF. This is a terrific bldg. Yes, we did have noise but that couldn't have been prevented anywhere. Just really loud, obnoxious neighbors and a connecting door!!

We are intrigued by the other resorts, but simply cannot bring ourselves to leave the Poly...highly recommend to all comers!
