We were really lucky and were able to stay in an Executive suite. It was so great for DS3 who has a lot of difficulty sleeping outside of his own room. I love this resort more and more and I really had a good time on this trip. I love Tubbies and the Dolphin Fountain. We still have not tried Fresh; definitely next trip. The staff is phenomenal and service was excellent. I am really and truly hooked on this resort now. Any questions???

Glad you had a great trip! We love the Dolphin also. If anyone is wondering about the restaurant you mentioned there, Fresh, it is a hidden treasure for breakfast. We got free coupons to try it there when we checked in last February. It is a buffet serving the "freshest" tasting food I've ever had. No characters at this buffet but the best breakfast, aside from Boma, that we've ever had on property. In case anyone is wondering......

So happy to hear you loved it there....we are planning a trip for July 2006, and are leaning towards staying at either the Swan or the Dolphin. I'm a bit nervous trying to decide. We have only stayed at the BC, and love it there, but with college expenses now, need to find someplace a little less expensive - I'm hoping they have the nurse discount available for our stay next year. I've been trying to read every thread I can about the Swan and Dolphin - so many people have said so many positive things!

So nice to read you enjoyed your visit to the Dolphin! It's our favorite WDW resort, and we too...always stay in an executive suite. Aren't they wonderful? With those heavenly :cloud9: BEDS!? This resort is still one of the best kept secrets in all of the World (IMHO). We've stayed at every resort, with the exception of the Values and AKL. Yet, the Dolphin remains our #1. Oh, tubbies...is FAB (especially the homemade chicken noodle soup!!). :goodvibes :flower:

dreamflight99- it is so funny you just mentioned the chicken soup at Tubbi's! After reading this thread, it just reminded how wonderful this was too. My kids are very healthy eaters and can't survive on the normal kids meals - hot dogs, fries, etc. So almost every day, my DS and DD would have to get this chicken soup. It's the most homemade tasting we've ever had. Tubbi's had great choices for everyone - we practically lived there during our stay last Feb. I think the Swan/Dolphin (and AKL) are the best values you can get in a resort!

I'm so happy to read your kids loved it too! :goodvibes It's one of those healthy "comfort" foods..and they do it so well. It's chocked full of the broad, soft, flat noodles, delectably flavorful, with the most delicious golden broth made from home-made stock, and soft pieces of white chicken meat...mmmm. They also serve it at a PERFECT temperature. It is one of my absolute FAVS! ::yes:: Now...I'm sitting here wishing I had a bowl, with a side of those saltine crackers. :cloud9:

I'm glad to hear a good report about the Dolphin. We were going to
stay at the BC in October but I just switched to the Dolphin. I was
nervous since some had said that it doesn't have the Disney feel.

I have a question, was it a far walk to Epcot? I have a 2 & 3 year
old, I don't have a stroller but I was wondering if I should buy one
if its a long walk over. WE had usually just rented a stroller when
we went to the parks.

Also, was the pool close by also? Whats the best restaurant for
little kids? Thanks. :3dglasses

The walk is longer than it would be from BC. I would think you would need a stroller, unless you committ yourselves to using the boats.

The pool is closer to the east wing of the hotel. But one of the great things about the Dolphin is that everything is located in one place. Sometimes you need to go up in order to get down, but it's really worth it to us to have everything under one roof.

Restaurants for kids-- Tubbies is a buffeteria (we ate there almost day), Gullivers has a character dinner, Fresh for breakfast/lunch, and Dolphin Soda Fountain

Flynnmnstr,

Thanks for all the info, I feel more at ease and I'm glad I switched
to the Dolphin. :wave2:
