Just returned from a 7-night stay at the BC. It was FABULOUS!! It was just DH and I, and we booked a standard room. I faxed our preferences 4 days in advance - non smoking, full balcony, garden view, close to Epcot entrance. We arrived on Monday 9/15 at 11:15 - and our room was ready! All our preferences were noted and granted as well! We were in room 4584, which can connect with 4586. It had 2 queen beds. We requested a coffeemaker which was delivered 5 min. after we got in the room, and even came with enough coffee for 2 pots. The room was spotless and must have been recently renovated by the looks of everything. Although we had children on either side of us and we are light sleepers, the room was very quiet. We could look straight out from the balcony and see the high fireworks at Epcot. Epcot was practically in spitting distance - just a short walk past the quiet pool and the bridge to the World Showcase was right there. We got the USA Today daily, Mon-Fri. The room was always cleaned when we went out in the morning, except for Friday. They were very busy that day and we came back for a nap at 2PM, and Mousekeeping was 2 rooms away. We chose to skip that day's cleaning and got fresh towels only. I brought my own hairdryer after hearing about the poor ones that are provided, but the one in the room was 1600 watts - stronger than the one I brought!
Scaffolding still covers one section of the BC but is hardly noticeable. Any questions, I'll try to answer!

We are staying at BC for the first time during the first week of December. I am so glad to hear your positive review!!:p :p I'm so jealous--I just try to imagine a trip to Disney with just my DH and I...;) Someday!

I do have a few questions...they delivered the coffee maker, but do they re-stock your coffee supply or did you bring your own?

Also, did you eat in the BC/YC area and what was good?

Thanks--so glad you had a great trip!!!

Hi ~

Glad you had a nice stay at BC. I think all the rooms are recently rennovated.. did you have the green/cream checked carpeting and beige/Disney beach scene motif bedding and drapes?

The rooms are so pretty ~ I loved the sea shell accents everywhere.

>>^..^<<

Thanks for the report, we won't be there until August, but I am counting down the days!

We're staying at the BC next August for our first trip to WDW. I'd love to hear more details!:D

Just wondering if your room was far from SAB ... was it confinent?? thanks..amy

Thanks for your report!

I would also like to know how far away you were from SAB?

Did you take any photos of the room?

We are leaving soon, and need 2 connecting rooms (standard) at beach club, so any help is great!!

What was your view of?

THanks!

I'll try to answer all the questions, and later today I'll try to upload the room photos I took.

Coffeemaker- one of the small 4-cup (2 mug) size. Coffee was not restocked, but we took our own filter packs (takes 1 per pot).

We ate at B&C one time, always crowded but very good. Also ate breakfast at Spoodles and carry-out breakfast at Boardwalk Bakery. Riptide Lounge in the BC lobby offers coffee, juice, pastries, bagels, fruit, and cereal. I wil post restaurant reviews on the Restaurant Forum hopefully today.

Yes, the carpet was the green/cream checks. Great decorating! Loved the desk lamp, which is also available for purchase in the gift shop.

The BC is a big resort, so it's a bit of a walk to anywhere. We were not far from the quiet pool. Our room overlooked a lot of vegetation, with BC Villas on the left if you leaned over the balcony, and another wing of the BC on the right. Epcot fireworks were directly in front of us each night. We had hoped to sit on the balcony for our morning coffee, but the room faced east and the sun hit it directly each morning.

To get to SAB, you could either walk down past the quiet pool and it was a short walk from there, or you could go thru the lobby and access it that way. GREAT pool! Be sure to take your resort card - even though crowds were very light the week we went, we still had to show resort ID's and get a band to enter SAB.

I think I mentioned we are light sleepers, but it was quiet and the drapes blocked out almost all the light at night (balcony light stays on, no switch).

Addie, this room was a connecting room, standard view.

BC is our favorite resort as well. In fact, after trying other deluxes, we've vowed to never stay anywhere else.

We haven't been since the rooms were renovated...and I can't wait to see them. We love the CM's at YC & BC. Love the Epcot resort area and of course the closeness to Epcot and MGM. And, hey, don't forget Stormalong Bay. Can't beat it.

Did you get a good rate? I'm hoping we can go the first week in December with the AP discount of $179 standard. I'm not sure we can make it then for various reasons, but we're trying like heck!

Beach Club - here I come! I hope.

Well, I won't be able to post my photos because they have to be on a website, and I don't have a website :( .

The scaffolding is to the immediate right of the lobby entrance on the back side of the resort (facing the lake). It covers most of one building area, but is covered with fabric and really not very noticeable.

One more room thing I forgot - the wonderful shower! It has one of the nice dial-type massaging heads, and has hot water the moment you turn it on (we're used to waiting 2-3 minutes at home, so this was really great!). There are double sinks in the vanity area and a swing-out magnifying mirror on the wall, great for putting on makeup. Also a large shelf under the sinks which was nice for storage. Plenty of hangers in the closet too.

There are 4 of the refillable mugs in the room, but you'll be charged $10.99 if you unwrap and use them. Didn't see what was in the mini bar because we did not receive or ask for a key.

There was a ceiling fan as well, nice for night time and quiet.

Welcome back! We stayed at the Beach Club last year and loved it! Did you happen to take any photos of your room? Thanks. ;)

Hey k9pal, if you jump over to the tech support forum, they will explain how to upload your photos even if you don't have your own website. We are going in November to the YC. I keep trying to switch over to the BC but so far, no availability with the AP rates. In either case, I can't wait!!

Thanks CaliforniaDreaming! I'veposted a few room shots on the webshots.com site, under my username (K9pal). Unfortunately, I can't get the resolution right so they aren't too great. I'll have to figure it out later.

Schnare, if you go to Deb Will's website, www.wdwig.com, and look under "resorts", she gives excellent info on faxing your room preferences as well as the fax number for each resort.

The pictures you put up look really good. Under the "normal size" they look fine, the resolution is only not-so-good on "fit to window". :)
