We had a great spring break at HH!

We didn't get our usual early departure since I couldn't fall asleep so we waited until 6 am to back out of the driveway. We arrived at noon and headed to the beach house for lunch after check in. We saw dolphin as we crossed the bridge to the island and several were playing within view of the beach house when we arrived which was great way to start the vacation!

We got the room we requested and the weather was PERFECT! We never had a cloud in the sky until we had to leave! We enjoyed the usual things of relaxing at the beach house, walks around the resort and along the beach, and evening sunsets! They had quite a few teen activities that Chris enjoyed including a teen night out to the movies, teen beach volleyball , a "gotcha" game, and teen kayaking.

We had great seafood dinners each night as we tried out a variety of restaurants. This trip we dined at the HH diner, Charlie Crab, Crazy Crab, KingFishers, and Moby Nicks.

The cast has changed alot since our first trip back in April 96 (a month after the resort opened) but this group was great. They went out of their way to meet our needs and provided GREAT service. The only complaint of the trip would be our noisy neighbors! They had kids I refer to as the squealers-- I don't think they ever used a normal tone of voice and whenever they were in the room they ran and squealed! I made the best of that situation by being greatful I didn't have to keep us with the little ones any longer and that my son is now 15!

Luckily our next trip to OKW is less than 50 days away then not long after that we will return to HH --- makes the return to reality easier!

I'm glad you had a great trip. We leave in just over a month and I can't wait!

Thanks for the report, Linda. I was so happy to hear they had activities for teens! When we go in August, both of our kids (DD15 and DS13) will be bringing friends along, so I was hoping there would be things for them to do. Did you have to sign up for the activities or can they just join in? I'm hoping they''ll have them in August. Is there a schedule somewhere?

Also, how did you like the restaurants at which you ate?

HH is our home resort, but we've only been once because as soon as we bought, we booked a DCL cruise. Can't wait to go!

Hi--

All of our meals were very good.
I especially liked the Charlie's Crab. It overlooks the water and lots of boat activity. The restaurant is tiered so all the tables have a nice view. We went before 6 so had the early bird dinner which included salad, entree, coffee, and dessert. Their bread was great too! DVC also offers 10% off which was nice too.

As for the teen programs you might want to know the prices if you have a group going! The kayaking was 35 and the movie and pizza night was 20. Okay for one teen but could get expensive if multiplied by 4! The games of course were free and you didn't have to sign up ahead for those. With just one kid it was nice for him to participate in the teen activities early in the week so he was able to make some friends to play pool, pingpong, basketball, etc with later in the week.

We had planned on going this Spring Break and had a 2 bdrm, but my mom had surgery in February so we had to cancel.
