Well I took my 5 year old DD to see the preview of Freeky Friday. She didn't get into it to much but I thought it was hilarious. I would highly recommend it when it comes out in August.

Well if it is, it was my first time seeing it. I don't go to movies much.

The original with Jodie Foster is one of my favorite movies. I remember my mom taking me to see it as a kid.

I saw the one with Jodie Foster about 12 times as a kid-that was my favorite movie:p ! I saw the previews for the remake before Nemo and really want to see it too! They had a sneak preveiw tonight, but it starts Wed.:D My kids want to go too!!

Loved the original one with Jodie Foster, but I didn't care for the second version. This one looks like it's worth checking out. :D

I also missed the second one. I LOVED the original...:D

I loved the original also. I rented it when Hunter was about 5 or 6. She doesn't even remember trying to watch it. She just couldn't hang on to the story line of them being switched at that time. We'll be seeing this in August though!!

I took DS9 to see Finding Nemo today and we saw the previews for Freaky Friday. It looks like a good version. I like Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan.

Kind of related: There were two movies about 10 years ago where fathers and sons switched places and I can't remember the name of either of them. One starred Dudley Moore (I can't quite remember the son; it might have been Kirk Cameron??) and the other starred Judge Reinhold (whatever happened to him?) and Fred Savage. Can anyone remember the names of those movies. I've been trying to think of the titles all day.

The Kirk Cameron/Dudley Moore movie is Like Father, Like Son.

I watched this movie so many times growing up! It is great! :)

Thank you! That's one down. Anyone remember the Judge Reinhold/Fred Savage one??

I did a search on Google and came up with Vice Versa. Does that sound right?

The name is familiar to me, but I don't remember the movie. :)

Definatly want to take kids to see this mover...I loved it as a kid!

Yeah, that's it! You're my savior tonight! OK, I can go to sleep now. BTW, it wasn't as good as Like Father, Like Son.

oh I'm glad you liked it! :) I wanna see it when it comes out!

<font color=navy>We saw the preview at Pirates of the Caribbean, and laughed at, "I look like the Crypt Keeper!"

I've seen both previous versions of Freaky Friday, and the boy versions, too.

It's a remake, but a fun story all the same. :)

We saw the previews during Finding Nemo! I laughed so hard my girls gave me a look like "Mom, please!" I think all of us "moms" are going to relate to it on a different level this time. Last time, I saw it from the daughter's view...this time....I can understand the "mom's" view! I can really hear my daughter saying the crypt keeper line about me!

Never liked the original.....

HOWEVER!!!

I always liked the original "The Parent Trap". That is until the 1998 remake. Lindsey Lohan really did a great job in that and I think it was just better over all. Now when I see the original, it seems really "over acted" (Think William Shatner-ish)

SO....all that to say, I'm optimistic that this new version of Freaky Friday will be really good.

(By the way, "Gods and Generals" is now available on DVD. For those of you who went to history class you'll understand and enjoy it.)
