We did priceline for a 3* hotel and got the above hotel.Had never heard of it but was very pleased. It is so close to Disney that from some areas of the hotel you can see the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom. Also right next to the property is some Disney offices and the Disney people actually have meeting at this hotel!!!!!!!
The hotel is very nice and much better than I was expecting. The staff was very nice and professional. I was turning (ugh!) 40 on this trip and my hubby had called ahead and arranged for something special. He gave them an amount to spend and they went out to stores in the area and when I walked in the room there were red roses on the bed and in a vase,a decorated cake,BLACK and silver balloons, and champagne. They went out of their way to make our stay nice and one day my husband overhearing two employees talking about some VIPs in the hotel and he got closer to try to find out who they were and it turned out they were talking about our room!!! DH had been away from the room so they had no idea that he was from the room they were talking about!!!! We had a wonderful stay. The only bad part was all the construction that was going on but hope the D.O.T will be finishing up soon.

We are staying there one night in July and I didnt know anything other than its a 3* on priceline. The staff is VERY nice.. I called this morning and the lady I talked to was very helpful and put up with my endless questions!
Is the restaurant in the hotel nice and reasonably priced?

Thanks!

Thanks for your review. We're going to be spending two night there this summer. We got our rooms thru Priceline, also. Its great to see a positive post.

We did not eat at the restaurant at the hotel because it is a bit expensive and the menu items were not what we were used to eating. With having a three year old with us "chef" prepared items usually do not work with us.They have a Pizza Hut express but we never saw anyone behind the counter. We usually walked to the nearby restaurants and ate there. We tried Angels (all you can eat seafood) and The Mining Co(I think thats the name) The last place had GREAT food. The steak was very tender and we had a wonderful waiter. The host was a real loser and acted like he did not want to sit anyone.

Thanks for the info-- I have been waiting for someone who has stayed there. Do you have any more specific info about the guest rooms themselves? Also, isn't there supposed to be some kind of food court? Thanks again for your answers!! :D

There is a food court but we never saw anyone working behind the counter on the times we walked by.They have a Pizza Hut sign and I think Starbucks and some other things but as I said I never saw anyone working behnd the counter.
The rooms were nice. Two end tables,an armoire with a largte TV in side and another piece of furniture that held a fridge and a safe.Large closet with full length mirrors on the sliding doors.Iron and ironing board, and blowdryer. Also bathroom was stocked with Bath and Bodyworks items.Had huge tub/shower.Large vanity in bathroom. We had a King size bed and a loveseat that made into a bed for our DD.

We also got this hotel for our first 2 nights through priceline in Orlando. We got 3 King rooms for our family of 5. I just wasn't sure that we could count on more than 2 being able to stay in a room. That fold out bed that you spoke of? Would it only fit for 1 child? Or could it fit for 1 child and college girl too? Is that fold out bed always included in the King rooms, or did you have to ask for it? Did you swim, and was the pool warm? Was it nice? I cannot tell you how glad I am that you posted! I am so glad to hear good things! It sounds just wonderful! I'm so relieved! Pomcoach :D

The fold out bed is kind of small. As I said it folds out of a love seat.I would guess it to bea twin size or maybe a double. My 3 yr old had plenty of room but I did not actually get on it to compare the size.I think these loveseats/beds are in all the King rooms but I am not sure.We requested a roll-away and when we called the hotel directly we were told that this was what they had instead of the roll-away.
We did go to one of the pools one evening.I do not think it is heated but they do have a hot tub next to each pool.I know there are at least two pool areas but do not know whether there are more than that or not.One of the pool areas has a kiddie pool but the one that was closest to our wing did not. There are towels provided for the pools and there were lots of lounge chairs.

For those of you who bid priceline, what is the priceline cost for this hotel? What area did you bid? Thanks.

My DH bid 50 per night and it is considered a 3*.I think he bid on the Disney area.

Well... My friends just came back from staying at the Rennissance. They said they went the back way into WDW[ and didn't go on Rt 192]. You just need to ask at the desk for the directions!

I was not aware that there was a road behind the hotel that leads to Disney. I was only aware that you have to get on the main road to get anywhere even if it is to get to an alternate route. This road is also known as Irlo Bronson I believe. If there is a secret road behind this hotel then I will have to check this out and go this way from now on.

Hi, we have taken Sherberth rd.( I think it is Sherberth....or something close to that) many times..I was just wondering if you can get to it from Renaissance...to get to Disneyfrom 192 turn on Sherberth, it will parallel 192 for about a mile and then take a sharp turn to end up going north away from 192....again the road will go straight and curve to the left and come to a stop sign...go right and Animal Kingdom is on your left....make a U turn to go to AK parking lot and go straight for the rest of Disney....to exit follow signs to AK and go straight on road that says something about commercial vehicles.... you will come out again on 192...good luck..Ted
