We were at POR from Sept 18-24. I originally requested Magnolia Terrace, but we ended up in Paterre Place so we could get a connecting room. It was recently renovated and very nice. Mousekeeping was great and the grounds were very clean. I would defintely stay there again in the future.

The refigerators weren't in the rooms yet but we were able to get one for free by calling housekeeping and requesting one.

We also used ABBF for our crib rental. It was delivered promptly and was in great shape. I highly recommend them.

Wow, that is great. We just upgraded from ASMo to POR for 11/28-12/3. I will keep that in mind about the fridge. Thanks for the tip!!!

Thanks for the good report about POR - we are staying there for the first time in Nov.

How was the food court for breakfast items?

What did you think of the rooms?

I was pleased with the room. It was roomy for the two of us and we had connecting rooms with my parents so our 16 month old could run between the rooms. It had a drawered armoire that housed the TV and had just enough space on one side of the armoire for the crib we rented. We had to move the small bench that was there and store it in a corner. The bathroom had the two free standing sinks and a curtain that could be pulled over to cover the bathroom area. I was very pleased with the room at the $85.00 night I paid with the code. Would I be pleased at $145.00 a night, probably but I'm not sure.

The breakfast items at the food court were quite good. I found that the childrens meals were basically the same amount of food as the adult and for about 1/2 the price. You could get anything from a muffin to my favorite eggs, bacon, hash rounds and a biscuit (kids plate was about $3.29 vs $5.59 for adult).

We payed for our refillable mugs several times over so make sure and pickup them up first thing.

Thanks for your review. We are looking forward to our stay at POR this xmas. ::MickeyMo

we also just got back and we were in teh alligator bayou section 34 we LOVED it our room was newly redone (actually i thinkwe cristened it!) very large/roomy plety of space etcc.. food court was awesome.. actually we are WL lovers but i have to say the room was much nicer here at POR although i will say the pillows were way to fluffy... glad you had a great time

we must have been right near you!! We were there 9/17-9/22, and we loved it too!! Our only request was to be close to the parking lot, and we were in room 9908. It was great, but the beds seemed a little small!!
we ate at the restaurant one night, and it was great too; it seemed like a lot of food which made the price seem reasonable.

We stayed at POR 9/18 - 9/25 . I was very pleased with the resort overall. POR offers great ammenities and a superb gift shop and food court. Very accurate previous observation on the kids vs adult meals. In fact, we split 2 kid's pastas for 4 of us one night! Unfortunately, though, I did not feel the pool or room were very clean. The water in the main pool was dirty - leaves, trash in it - and much oil residue from lotions, etc. Although the rooms looked inviting and the decorating was tasteful, the rooms really were not very clean. When we arrived, there were food particles on the floor from previous guests. When I called housekeeping they told me they vacuum only twice a week and they do not wash the floors. For $85/night discounted, I really expected more. Luckily we spent more time OUT of the rooms enjoying the rest of the parks and the magic!

I have a few questions for all of you who have stayed there recently. Heard that they are doing some renovations at POR. Do you know where? Were bugs (mosquitoes and others) a problem during your trip?
Finally, do you have any tips to share about the resort, in order to help all of us who will be staying there in the upcoming months?
Thanks, Anne-Marie

we were in LODGE 34 of Alligator bayou and it was BRAND NEW!! we were the first to sleep on teh bed even had new pillows which actually caused a problem becasue they were way to thick/fluffy.. sseriously!!! so lodge 34 was new i would let you know that it was a WALK to everything except the buses to the parks it wwas awesome to the buses very short walk no traffic by our building at all very quiet but to the main lobby it was a walk (we loved it it gave us time to excersize hold hands etc..) looked like the buildings next to us were empty and getting redone my guess 36 or 37 hope this helps!!!
