My best friend and I left our husbands and pets at home (we don't have kids yet) and went to WDW for April vacation (I'm a teacher.) We stayed at POP. I was a little weary about the value resorts. Would they be loud? Crowded? Have tiny rooms?
We were both pleasantly surprised with POP. We stayed in building 7 (80's) for 5 nights. The room was a LOOONG walk from the busses and food court but was very quiet and clean. The room wasn't big but it was fine for two people. We went to Universal for one night than returned to POP for our last night and stayed in building 2 (50's.) This room was much closer to the food court and busses. We were on the fourth floor and could see EPCOT in the distance.
Mousekeeping was great! I left a note asking for a towel animal. When I returned mid afternoon I was disappointed to not see a towel animal or note but within five minutes of arriving, Norma arrived with four towel animals. One towel animal didn't survive the trip and so she returned at the end of her shift with more towel animals. It appeared that all the mousekeepers liked their jobs and got along with one another.
The bus service was acceptable. The only time we had to wait over 30 minutes was at the Magic Kingdom during EMH. Every other night they had busses lined up after the evening fireworks but be prepared to stand. Almost every bus we went on all week was full.
