Hi everyone,
Just got back from Pop Century on Thursday. I had faxed in a room request and it was honored IN FULL-I asked for a non-smoking, upper floor room in the 50's or 70's facing the lake. We got a fourth floor room on the lakeside in the 50's in the "Way, way out, poodleskirt" building.
My 12 yr old DD had locked her suitcase and left the keys at home. We did Magical Express for our luggage and the suitcases were in our room within 2 hours. We called maintenance as per suggestion of check-in and they cut off my daughter's lock for her.
We found the bus service to be quick-only on one morning was it slow (going to Animal Kingdom) and that was kinda our fault because we got a late start. We left the parks every day around 1 and came back to Pop for a swim.
Neither the parks or Pop was overly crowded. We were always able to get a deckside chair. I thought the food selection at the food court was good.
Only thing I would fault Pop on is room size, but we were hardly ever IN the room. I could hear toilets occasionally, but our room was quiet. I loved looking over the lake.
I REALLY liked the Pop Century and would stay there again in a heartbeat. We had stayed at the Swan and POR before, but if you are spending the majority of your time at the parks, I can't see the extra expense.
Janet
