Glad you had a fab time - however, if there is one ride NOT to get stuck then it is 'Its a Small World' :)

Was it a small world then Harry? :rotfl2: glad you had a good time.

Harry ~

Sounds as though you had a fantastic time.

What airline did you fly with? I seriusly thinking about booking with Flyglobespan for next year.

hi there we flew with mytravel.....booked through portland holidays

http://www.portlandholidays.co.uk/d...rer=google&MediaCode=IGOP7I&ito=2152&itc=4033

who seemed to be slighltly cheaper than anyone else for exactly the same package deal...

my travel where fine...except on arrival this morn back at glasgow we where kept on plane for 20 minutes after touch down sonce our gat was as the captain apologised still in use he went on to say that as glasgow became busier each season this type of delay on touchdwon was becoming more and more common and as he said most unwelcome after a long flight....

but hey thats the only negative thing i can say the food and staff on both the way out and back were great....

cheers

harry

Welcome back - how was lunch with an astronaut?

hi there we booked with these people.

http://www.gatortours.com/

.they picked us up at pop in a wee minin bus took us to crossroads and we met up with others and put on large coach to kennedy ...the driver guide was excellent ..suzie was her name during the hours drive she explained what and when to do everyhting to get most out of the day ..

lunch for me and my daughter came in about 100 pounds but that was with our park tickets ...it wasa very good experience not the best food ive ever eaten but it was planned to get us out of the sun during hot part of day ...it so turned out that on the tuesday we went it was overcast......

charlie walker was the astronaunt ..hes been in the shuttle 3 times ....in the audience for lunch was another shuttle pilot who happened to be visiting him that day so came along fro a 'free ride'..

kennedy space is so so big far bigger than i though and so spread out we only had time to see 1 imax have a wee looksee around the centre main complex have lunch and then go out to see the saturn site and before we knew it it was 5 ocklock and the day was over!!!

for someone who is space minded (my wife says Im the original space cadet) kennedy is a must do!!!

Welcome home, Harry!

it sounds like you had a great trip :thumbsup2

Welcome back
we will be staying at Pop in November what's the bus service like?

Tracy

hi there the bus service was ..well put it like this it put my towns bus service to shame ..we never waited more than 10 minutes the whole two weeks ..it didnt matter if it was morning or night or at the hotel or at a park ......the service was superb....

an example was mgm after a 9 ocklock showing of fantasmic ...the park emptied big time even and the ques when we got to pops bus stance was ginormous...... but withing 10 minutes 3 buses came and went anf then a large provate type 58 setaer sized coach came up and we were told to get on that and 10 minutes later we were back at the resort......

disney really know how to move people about .....we found it took 15 minutes to get to magic kingdom and 8 to mgm and about 12 to epcot...but found it far nicer to get to epcot by jumping bus to mgm and then boat across to epcot and enter by the interantioanl gateway entrance .....

We hired a car this trip but hand on my heart you can do orlando especially if staying in disney resort easily without a car .....just use the money you spent on car hire on taxis when you venture out...we did dixi stampede and the cost was 21 dollars yellow taxi getting there and a provate black limo taxi coming back was 25 dollars .......we paid 376 for a big 4 wheel car booked carhire usa with all singing everyhting insurances and i dont think we got our value out of it since disney transport and taxis meant we could indulge in ice cold buds.....

cheers

harry

welcome back harry, sounds like you had a great time. we were at cbr last sept which is next to pop and we're thinking about giving it a try next year.

You're absolutely right about disney - they know exactly how to transport large numbers of people as well as they do ride queue management - something we could learn a lot from in the UK! (and other european countries too I imagine)
