Just back from Poly

We are just back from the Polynesian and had a wonderful time. I thought it might be of interest the Poly is undergoing renovation all around the quiet pool. The pool is closed and the entire area is blocked off. The volcano pool is open and that's where most kids want to be anyway.

I would not let it concern me if I was planning to stay there unless you really wanted the quiet pool option. Maybe we will get a hot tub as part of the project. I should have asked about that. That's the only thing the Poly is missing.

I was at the Poly on Thursday. I walkeed around the volcano pool and it looked great!
I really liked the way the Poly looked...What kind of rates are available there?

We were there in Feb and they had just started...the day we arrived....the construction on the quiet pool. They were also doing construction on 2 longhouses, Roratonga and Nuie.

Rates...the Poly is the second most expensive resort at WDW. Next to the GF of course. However, if you watch these boards and mousesavers.com you can get a hefty discount. We have AP's and only paid $179 per night plus tax in Feb. Regular rates are over $400 per night. Depends on the season.
