My advice for poly is if you are not happy let them know, planning for over a yr.requested garden view with balcony in nonsmoking.Check in on Thurs. asked for free upgrade (anniversary) didn't get one,ok.Check in lady wasn't very friendly didn't get my lei but if i wanted a room at noon i have to take 2nd floor Aotearoa got in great view of monorail, and great garden view, no balcony just a sliding door, kids noticed 3rd floor had balconies, called front desk she was very friendly, said i could have Tuvalu, smoking, ok luggage guy came refrigerator guy came all moved to Tuvalu 3rd floor,Fiji is being remodeled so we had horrible view of water and sludge and alot of hammering and sawing, we had luau tickets(loved it) but needed new room keys,dh mentioned the bad view the night lady was just great we told her we really don't complain very much but she insisted we move right then and there 10:30 she gave us 3rd flr. back at Aotearoa loved it.luggage man came right by and refrigertor moved again and new cards made up.Advise anyone doing laundry to wake up about 5 am.Any questions ask?

Why do you advise anyone doing laundry to wake at 5am? This scares me as I plan on doing a laundry day once during my 15 days of the trip.

thought i would take a nice stroll to the laundry let the kids and dh swim, well let me say all 500 people have the same idea.walked in with 2 bags of dirty undies and alot of wet clothes(from the rain)at 9:00pm there were 6 people waiting in front of me i went to swim and went back at 10:00 was worse and then at 11:00 just as many, i went to sleep and figured if i sneek out at 5:00am i would be the first, good thing i did i was the first 1 there you have to scan your card so don't forget your room key, they have about 6 washers 1 broken and alot more dryers i used 3 and i man walked in right behind me by 6:30 there was a line and by 7:00am at least 20 people were there thinking they would be the first

Ugh! Well we will be doing laundry on a Saturday around lunch time so maybe everyone will be at the parks. Is everyone listening? Stay away from the Poly laundry room on October 19,2002! :D So far I've yet to run into crowded laundry rooms when going on a Saturday. We use that day for a pool/laundry day and then hit MK just before the Spectro and fireworks at night. Thanks for the info!:D

Our first stay at the Poly was 3rd floor Aoteatoa and we loved the view of the monorail. It was so relaxing and the kids loved watching the monorail going by especially at night. We also ran into the same problem with the laundry room. I think we were able to get in there midmornings most times after most people have headed out to the parks for the day. I do wish they would get another laundry room at the Poly. Just never seems big enough for the size of the resort.
