We just got back from our land/sea package, which was at the Poly, and then two post-cruise nights at BWV.

I've always wanted to stay at the Poly, and we had a fantastic stay. I had requested a room with a patio or balcony, so I was disappointed at first when we were given 2nd floor Samoa w/o a balcony. But I got over it quickly, because we had a fabulous view of the volcano pool and the GF beyond. And, it was pretty rainy while we were at the Poly, so we wouldn't have used the balcony much anyway. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. I think pictures don't do justice to the furnishings - it's difficult to capture the tiki "feel" of the room. It was great! We enjoyed the great dining options at the Poly. And watching the EWP and fireworks from the beach was awesome! The first night we watched HalloWishes, I didn't hear any music until the very end. I realized that it's best to sit/stand very close to the speakers, as the music isn't very loud. The children playing on the beach drowned it out where I was originially. We really loved relaxing in the hammock, while the kids played in the sand nearby. It was great!

I was surprised how loud, crowded, and "busy" the resort always seemed to be, though. It was a great stay & I'd stay there again.

After the cruise we stayed at BWV - our first time here too. It was a great resort! I'd have to say that mousekeeping here was much better than at the Poly. At the Poly, there was a lot of dust & I don't think our floor had been vacuumed well before we checked in. Our studio room at BWV was spotless - and we had a cute towel kitty waiting for us. We'd booked a standard view here, so we weren't surprised to be overlooking the entrance area. But we did have a balcony, so that was nice. And we really enjoyed the Luna Park pool more than the Volcano pool. The slide was better and the pool was bigger & not as crowded. We enjoyed walking and dining on the Boardwalk.

But on our last night, we walked over for a gelato at the BC. And we felt at home. We'd stayed at BCV last year & loved it. Now they've added movies on the beach at night. It was so relaxing sitting on the beach & enjoying the view of the BW at night. We've decided that the BC/YC is "our" resort. But we've very much enjoyed trying other resorts that we've never tried before. They were all fantastic, but I think we've found "IT" for us.
