Just back from POFQ

I hate to question a negative review but I have been reading as many reviews of POFQ as I can because we are considering it for an upcoming trip.

Carol's review is actually the exact same wording from 3 different trip advisor reviews. The first few paragraphs come from the current review #3, the next paragraphs from review # 20, and the last paragraphs from review 23 off of trip advise. I mean it is the exact same words. 2 of the reviews are from before Dec 2007.

I am very confused as to how this review could use these exact same words (I mean exact) and be valid.

The only reason I noticed is because when I read it, I knew I had read the review awhile back.
I have been hesitant to book POFQ because of some the negative reviews.

I am not sure if Carol really had a bad experience and didn't feel like coming up with her own words, if she just coincidentally used the exact same words (I am teacher, so plagiarism stands out to me easily), or if she has some ulterior motive to piece together a negative review.

I was not sure if I could put the link to the exact reviews or not or if this should be reported to somebody.

Please advise as to what this is....

We stayed there Sept/06 for our only trip to WDW so far and would be thrilled to stay there again if we didn't need separate beds for our kids now. We had no issues with the resort at all and I'm extremely picky in hotel rooms.

I posted a note this morning to take each trip report with a grain of salt. We also seem to have on the board some people who enjoy posting a negative review to take the focus off another resort where someone posted their feelings.

Just beware when reading the trip reports. Everyone looks for something different when they are at a Disney resort. As I mentioned in my other post more people will post a bad review than a good one.

I saw your post this morning and immediately thought about this thread. Doesn't help that a good part of the OP's other posts are about how great CSR is... :rolleyes1

You mentioned that you reported your concerns with the managment. What was the response? Did they offer to have your room cleaned or move you? I'm just curious because I upgraded from the ASMu to POFQ for our Oct 08 trip and I have been really really excited about it. I even added 2 more days on to the trip. For me the upgrade is a lot of money but since I have so much time to pay it off I felt like it was worth the splurge. I'm never going to be able to afford the deluxe resports and I really spent a lot of time choosing between the 4 Mod resorts.

I'm just second guessing myself now and I am wondering what they did when you registered your complaint.

Again, sorry your stay wasn't magical and thanks for your response.

This once again might be a good time mention the swan/dolphin and how they can be had for just about the same price...especially around the holidays.....

I'm very sorry that you had such a disappointing time.

Holy smokes, you are right! I went to tripadvisor.com and found the reviews you cited, and this review was definitely borrowed. Here is the link:

We do need to be wary of some of these reviews.

Thanks for pointing out the plagerism. I won't put too much stock in this opinion due to that.

We are staying at POFQ for the first time in March and really looking forward to it. I have actually read many positive things about over time here on the DIS.
