We took our RV, so we did not eat out very many meals. Following is the list of places and food we ate:
Rainforest cafe at AK---I made a 12:30 lunch PS for our AK day (Sunday) to use as a mid-day break. It turns out PS was really not necessary because the restaurant was not crowded at all, but still it is nice to have that peace of mind. The food (Burger, big salad, kids' meals) were all pretty good. However, those fake gorillas were more than a littel annoying, especially after seeing the real ones in the nice natural-looking habitat display.
Hollywood & Vine---We did the Fantasmic package on Monday. I was worried because there was a big thunderstorm at around 4-5 pm, but the show did go on. As far as buffets go, this is a good one. I made myself a nice salad plate, and then nice entree plate of roast, noodles, and veggies, all cooked with nice flavors. The cakes were pretty good as well. DS8 and DD5 were in their food heaven with all their favorite food as well (Mac&C, nuggetes, soft serve with topping selections, etc.)
CRT---I made a 12:25 PS again as the mid-day break for Wednesday. When we walked into the lobby, there was Belle. She was really cute, and DD5 was thrilled to have a picture taken with her. I had a pork BBQ dish which was the best meal I had during my week at WDW. DH was a little dissappointed to realize that they did not serve a burger or beer. He was happy with his selection (chicken salad), though. Kids' meals (burgers and dog rolls) were eaten very quickly.
Plaza Ice Cream---SO GOOD!
Teppanyaki---I made the same-day PS Thursday morning. It was a good move as it started raining almost exactly at 12:00, and lots of people wanted to come in and eat. The steak was just OK but scallops were really good. The chef let me take a picture of him, the griddle, and my kids in his chef's hat and tools. The iced green tea was really refreshing.
Bakery at Norway---To me, THIS WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY TRIP TO WDW. Better than R&R Coaster, better than Splash, and better than Fantasmic. I had a strawberry cake and then I had to have more so I got a berry tart. The best sweet treat I ever had in many, many years.
Frozen lemonade cups at Tarzan theater at AK---A frozen lemon cup never tasted so good than this one in the hot, muggy theater.
Trails end---I thought it was a little overpriced for the quality of food you get. The BBQ ribs and chilie were quite good, though.
