Hi all,
My DS and I are back. We stayed one nite last week at PP. Very nice hotel, we had a nice room overlooking GCA. Did you know that for a 10am opening they start safety testing the rides around 6am?!
We had a 2 day stay and play pass. You must use the pass for 1 day for each park. No hopping. I had a fabulous rate of $189.95. This include the room and the passes. Basically I got the room for $99!
We checked in at 8am and our room was ready. It was nice to settle in. We did DL the first day since we wanted to see the fireworks and the snow that nite. DL did not open til 10am.
We ate at Blue Bayou. It was ok, but I don't think I will go again. Too pricey for what you get and the salad I had was full of salt. However, DS love the pasta!
I got my mint julep and fritters (both are my favorite must dos!). Loved the haunted mansion. There were no lines. We walked on to everything. Weather was great. That nite we had dinner at Goofy's kitchen. Much better than 4 years ago. We had fun and then went back to DL. Fireworks were very nice. Done to holiday music with the finale being snow!
The next day we had breakfast at the PCH Grill. It was Minnie's breakfast. Quite good. We entered GCA by the back entrance for PP guests. Rode all the rides. Loved Screamin', Mulholland and the Limo ride was cute. My favorite was Soarin. We saw lots of characters including Mike & Sulley. Generally a wonderful time.
