The good, the bad and the ugly:

Boardwalk Gv- great view of the boardwalk- located right above the store- the rooms were very clean- the decor is a little dated but still very nice!

BLT:theme park view: was really looking forward to this stay- but sorry to say the villa was already showing signs of wear and tear and the cleanliness was not great! Had to call 3 times to get a melted lollipop removed from the ledge of the 2 story window. I guess someone threw it from the second story landing- the huge amount of dust on the windowsill was helping to hold it in place! The lollipop was finally removed not the dust though - gave an earful to the manager upon checkout!

AKLV: Jambo house- wonderful rooms and very clean- only downside- we were the last room at the end of the zebra trail- lots of walking!

The new computer system still has lots of kinks- we had a 3 night reservation at Jambo, one of those nights had been a waitlist that came through. The computer still screwed up our meal plan even though I made a point of getting new key cards for the last 2 days! Apparently the computer is still having a problem seeing linked reservations!

Had a great time in spite of the above mentioned- crowds were larger than I thought they would be and as other posters have mentioned- I was disappointed that the castle was not lit with the holiday lighting as 1/1/11!

How could BWV decor be dated? It was just renovated recently, wasn't it? If you are talking about the "theme", all resorts might look dated to you.

I understand the point of theme- but with white appliances and older countertops it just didn't look that up to date.

Thanks for the post. For my 50th we're going to get a GV (2012). I own at BLT but now that I've stayed at BW I like the feel of those resorts over there.

Which one was the most comfortable? Which one had the most space? Which one did you feel like you got your money's worth?

You can't beat the location for Boardwalk- ease to Epcot and Studios. Our group included 4 young adults in their 20's- so having a pool table in the Jambo house Gv was also a hit, I think that was also probably the best use of our points. I will try to post pictures of all grand villas!

We are staying in a grandvilla at Jambo for Thanksgiving 2011. Just trying to figure out the sleeping arrangement... other than beds, what was in the rooms (pull out couch, chairs?)
We are considering a studio nearby since we have 9 people, from 81-9 years of age. WHat did you think?

We had 10 people in a Jambo gv and there was more than enough room. The master has a king bed. Then the other 2 rooms had 2 double beds. One from had a bathroom in the room and the other had the bathroom across the hall. There w also a full bathroom that was very large near the laundry area. The living room had a pull out sofa and a pull out chair and their was plenty of room even when these were opened.

Thanks for the info! I love GV's, I really prefer the ones at OKW (Bldng 15 to be exact). As fas as dated, just as in OKW (prior to refurb) I think some people confuse decor as being "dated" rather than "themed" BWV was just renovated. I think of a dated bedspread as the ones that have loose threads, are threadbare or limp and tatty looking. The flowers of the "new" bedspreads at BWV (stayed in a 2br just after refurb) are a decor feature/element, theming of the old Boardwalk and of from days gone by. For a modern theme, or un-dated look I think you're left with BLT and AKV! Even OKW now has lost some of it's theme, we now look like Vero Beach!
