Wahoo - what a rush! I am happy to report that I survived our first annual boys weekend! I took my sons for a weekend of Star Wars events. We had a great time.

All three boys were picked for Jedi Training. Awesome. They had a blast.
We saw the new Star Wars movie. Wicked awesome.
The Star Wars parade was lame. Definitely skippable IMO.
The line for Tattooine Traders was the longest line I've ever seen at WDW. Fortunately, the stuff that my boys wanted was at a kiosk near the Jedi Training stage. They waited in line to see Princess Leah while I stood nearby in the line at the kiosk. I REALLY wanted a Darth Tater but I didn't wait in the 2 hour line at the store to find out if they had one. So, I came home Taterless.

We were upgraded to an incredible water view room at the Yacht Club. We went back to the room right before 9 p.m. Saturday night and opened the balcony doors to a perfect view of Illuminations. I had no idea that we were going to be able to see them from our room! I'm posting pictures on the trip reports board this weekend.

What incredible luck and pixie dust! Can't wait to go back!

Sorry, very personal pet peeve: Leia. Le-ia.

Anyway, *blush*, glad you had a good time! We'll be there this weekend, hopefully it won't be quite as crowded!!

Oh. Sorry. I'm not the biggest fan of Star Wars. My boys are and I did all of the SWW stuff for them. Not up on my characters. I had to ask the boys "Who's that?" for just about everyone we saw. :teeth: Thanks for the correction.

I assume you wanted a Darth Mickey? Darth Taters are available at local stores (I even have an extra one still in the box that I bought for someone else that was looking if you want it - just pm me).

Either way, it sounds like you guys had a fantastic time! I can't wait until we are there on June 3rd. The thing I liked about the parade was the chance to see so many characters simply walking down the street (which of course, the number of characters moving through out the park is amazing as well) combined with a chance for us all to catch a bit of a rest.

DNeph (7) and I are sooo excited - we'll be there the final weekend - I will have to wait in line at every Jedi Training show until he gets to battle one of the big guys !!! I'm also doing SW (for 3 days!) mostly for him - but then he's going to CRT for me on our last morning !
Did you bring home the schedule that shows the times for all of the events? I can only find the 2004 schedules - TIA for any 'times/events' help you can give !

Its okay! I understand.. I feel bad for correcting people, but I'm an SW geek and seeing it spelled wrong makes my skin crawl :rotfl: :goodvibes

I did bring the schedule home but I'm at work now. I'll try to remember as much as I can.

Jedi Mickey and Darth Vadar meet & greets are from 9a-6p.
WWTBAM Star Wars edition are the 1st 2 shows of the day (I believe it was 10:30 a.m. and 12??).
Jedi Training - the first one was at 9:30 a.m. The 2nd one was at 10:25. There are 9 sessions per day and they pick 30 kids each time. What we did was wait thru the closing part of the 1st session and as soon as the crowd started moving away, we rushed thru to stand by the rope. We had to wait for 30 minutes but it paid off.
The Star Wars parade was at 11:15a.m. (or 11:30?). It only lasts a few minutes.
The Kids trivia sessions are at noon and 6 (or 6:30). We didn't do this so I'm just trying to remember off the top of my head.

Hope that helps. :)

Tatooine Traders was pretty heaving wasn't it? The line for the limited edition pins and things was about 2 hours when I was there on Friday. Fortunately I had gotten the pins (the opening day one and SW weekend one) from another place (next to the Drew Carey Sounds Dangerous Show) and only had to wait 30 mins for my Darth Mickey. It was very busy in the Star Tours area. Didn't stop for many characters as my son was being very unco-operative (he had me in tears at one point) The lines were pretty long for those too. I though that the SW parade in the morning was pretty disappointing, I had expected a few more characters.

Sounds like fun. I took my son for an all boys trip over his spring break. It was great.

SWW sounds like a zoo. We were there last year and it was not that crowded.

Uh oh, gotta correct you on this one....

"Mind what you have learned, SAVE you it can!" ;)

darn it!! Oh well... I know Leia's lines better anyway

Do you know if the rest of the park was packed as well or just mainly the SW areas?

Thanks! Sounds like fun!

Lines for Jedi Mickey were pretty good at about 10am Friday. The queues for Darth Vader were a lot bigger. I didn't go over to the otherside of the park (Tower of Terror side) but the Star Tours area and down Hollywood Blvd were busy. Star Tours area was really mobbed, however the wait time for ST were pretty short. I was at the park Friday from 9am until about 2pm. I cannot stress how busy the shop was, it was horrible. I wish that they could come up with a better way to sell the limited merchandise.

What days are the SWW - Friday, Sat, and Sunday? We should arrive around 3:00 p.m. Saturday and I wanted to go over - will that be too late? I could also go on Fri June 3rd too.

Thanks!

The days are Friday - Sunday. It will be crowded, but all the characters and other people will still be around and signing autographs. We usually do 2 days (Friday and Sunday) to make sure we get to see all the things we want to.

In the afternoon the line for Jedi Mickey was non-existant. Darth Vader, however, had a huge line.

I wish we were going for this!I'd love a Darth Mickey for my son.Does anyone know if they'll still be sold after the weekends? Is Jedi Mickey just there during the weekends as well?My son would love that! Thanks.
