Hi everyone,

We just got back from our 1st time at Universal! Stayed at Disney for 7 nights then came to Stay at the HRH for 4 nights! The hotel is very cool - the staff is great - very friendly, nice! I reserved an obstructed view - checked in onWed. think 9/1 and the check-in girl gave me a garden view (i could see tree's from my window) checked in about 4:30p and room was ready - furthest room from the elevator though! 5th floor. We were into pin trading since we were coming from Disney and we asked the check-in girl about pin's in universal and she gave us 2 free hardrock pins!

The rooms was really nice - large and comfortable bed! Maid service was great!

My family loved Universal - very laid back...Loved taking the water taxi! Citywalk was great - ate dinner there 3x - loved MargarittaVille!

My 9 year old Loved Universal - he went on the new Rip Ride Rocket - Dueling Dragons and HUlk! Not me just he and my husband...

I loved universal studios - i loved the Jimmy Neutron ride the best! We spent 3 days in the parks - 1st day at Universal Studios from about 9:30a - 3p 2nd day at IOA about same time - both parks were pretty empty the longest wait was 10 minutes - but we got to walk right on...Saturday we hit the best rides at both parks..was much more crowded as it was over the labor day weekend- then rides int he afternoon were 30-35 minutes the new rip ride rocket was 80 minutes and no Express for that but my son and husband did single rider and still got to ride together!

check-out day my husband and older son went back and hit some rides me and my younger son spent the day relaxing by the pool.

I think 4 nights was perfect - we got to go to the parks and still have time to go to the pool/citywalk and not be Exausted!

We did check out the Royal Pacific hotel 1 day to use there pool and really liked it over there...seemed very laid back - younger kids - the HRH seemed to have more teenage kids and many couples but Pacific seemed more family oriented -

The slide at HRH was really good, but had so many steps up that after 2-3x you were too tired to go on again! Next time i think i might stay at the Pacific - just liked the atmosphere there a bit better and the staf there was very nice as well.. its just missing the slide!

Oh the HRH also has a great ice-cream shop!

We just returned from a long weekend trip to HRH....and, I have to say, it was wonderful!! From the staff to the housekeeping to the restaurants..everything was great! We were on the Club Level (7th floor) and we were very impressed. The room was beautiful, exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable. The lounge had a nice selection of food for breakfast and had many appetizers from 5-7 pm. They had desserts in the evening but we never made it there because we were always out to dinner. We ate at The Kitchen, The Palm (both in the hotel), Hard Rock Cafe and at Emeril's at City Walk. They were all very good with The Kitchen having an awesome breakfast buffet and Emeril's having one of the best steaks DH ever had. DD loved both parks and we ran into many characters by accident! I have to say, we are really "Disney" people...however, we were very happy with HRH and the whole surrounding area. There was much attention to detail there and they even gave my DD two gifts when they delivered her birthday cake to the room, which was waiting for us when we arrived! I ordered it, but the extras were so nice. We are already ready to go back again...it was THAT perfect!!! (Hope you don't mind me adding on to you TR...I just agree with all that you said!!)
