Just Back from OMDD- INSANITY! Mini TR. UPDATE! Pics and Thoughts pg.2

I seen pics of people sleeping at DL and it amazed me. If people were so tired, then they should have left and let the awake people get there chance to go in. You dont go to DL to sleep!

When we took the Railroad from Main Street to NOS, as the train is pulling into the Main Street station we just see people passed out on each car.

Wow ~ that looks crazy but fun if one is brave! I'm curious... were SR lines up and running at IJA & Splash?

I really didn't check. I figured that if the Indy stand-by was 110 min, the SR would still have been at least 45-60 min. It was too cold for us for Splash, although even in the late eveningish it had a 30-45 min line.

I used the single rider line for Indiana Jones at around 1am. 15 minute wait. iIt was awesome!

IAt 1:40am, Space's line was 115 min.

We got in that 115min line at 145am and guess what? It was actually 3 1/2 hours!!!! That line was awful! there was no cast members on the outside line and people were just smoking in line and lots of making out. I would say Space's line was 90 percent annual passholding teenagers. the real problem that line took so long was that space kept breaking down all day and they gave people fastpasses for themselves and up to five others to use until the end of the day. they were letting in 66 fast pass people to every 10 standby. we counted several times while we were waiting. crazy!!!

BUT we waited because we had a goal to do every attraction, ride every ride and see every show and last the full 24 and we DID IT!!! Before Fantasmic we had done everything but space, so we waited and we finished the ride a little arfter five and still had time to use a fastpass to ride my favorite Big thunder, meet the charcters in their pjs, and watch the sun start to rise on main street before leaving at 615am- exactly 24 hours after we were let into the park.

We had no problems with crowds until after the 1am fantasmic. We never waited more than 35 minutes for anything with the exception of the 3.5 hour line at space mountain at 2am. It was an amazing day and I have two t shirts to prove I did it!

Thanks for the report! It sounds like it was as bad or worse than New Year's. (The fact that they decided to do filming for Modern Family all day--I heard they were on Main Street at midnight!--could not have helped. ) Reading the reports this morning, I'm suddenly glad I wasn't there.

Much worse than NYE.

We arrived at 5:30 am for the event and the crowd control on that end was excellent. It all went to HE-- at 8 pm. DCA closed, Fastpass was shut off and there was inadequate staffing. You know how on Main Street when there's a parade coming they rope off between viewing and walking areas and have CMs shooing people along? No CMs. We got caught in the crush around 11:30 and I ended up needing to be removed to First Aid for a panic attack- once DH could find a CM at all. He's BIG, fortunately, so when it came to it he made a path and people just got the heck out of his way.

We will never do an event like this again. It was wonderful until 8 pm but then it was just not worth it.
