Just Back from OKW

We just got back from OKW. Stayed in a one bedroom #1713. It was a great room with a nice view! Check-in was great! Arrived early 12:00PM and our room was ready....what a pleasant surprise! Everyone was very friendly and lots of welcome homes. I had forgotten how pleasant OKW can be, since our last few stays have been at Boardwalk. I like the larger rooms and not having to walk so far to get to your room. I had originally booked SSR, but switched after hearing about all the construction still going on. I'm one of the stupid ones who didn't realize there was still work being done. We did drive by SSR several times. It really is very appealing and will be another good choice when more complete. Anyway we enjoyed the peace and quiet of OKW. The parks were as we expected....very crowded...and very hot....but still had a fun time. Had a wonderful thing happen...we arrived at Epcots back gate in time for my daughters Birthday celebration dinner at France to discover that she was the only one in our party that forgot to bring her ticket!! She's 14, and very forgetful. Anyway guest services did a search on their computer with all our tickets verifying time of useage and park entered for all of us and found her ticket and reissued it to us. Saved us having to go back to OKW. We would have never made our reservation otherwise! One of those magical happenings that Disney does sooooo well!! Oh..did I mention I purchased our 2 day park-hopper tickets on Ebay..saved money and they worked!

We are leaving in 5 days for SSr. We debated about switching from SSR to OKW a while back. I posted a thread to everyone inquiring if we should switch or not due to the negative comments about SSR. After lots of great input from everyone here we decided to stay at SSR. We own at OKW also and just love it there. Glad you had a great time.

Thanks for the review on OKW. We stayed there for the first time in May and liked it. I still love my Boardwalk home the most, but it is great to try new locations.
