Just Back From MK & MGM

Hey everyone!! Just got home and had a WONDERFUL time. DD got to help in the opening ceremony of 1900 Park Fare which was the best part of our trip!! Cinderella took her hand and led her to our table! DH was tearing up!!


Unfortunately, the parks closed early (8ish) so we didn't get to do a lot of the things we wanted! DD was all about the characters!!

We met most princesses and filled 2 autograph books. But I have to say that I LOVE the picture autograph albums! What a great idea!! We already have hers filled!! The weather was perfect!! I'm ready to pack my bags and move!!

We did have a bad experience with the photo pass!! One of the photographers got a call on her cell phone during our visit with Mickey. After she took our pics, she put our card from the whole day in her pocket with the blank cards!! Thankfully, there was another photographer there and she did a lost recovery & found them all! Plus I got a free pic for my troubles!! Maybe it wasn't so bad after all!!!

How did your DD get picked & what do they do in the opening? We're going in aug & my DD would love to be picked!

It wasn't terribly crowded! We waited for about 40 minutes for Dumbo. Thanks to our GAC we got right into most other rides fairly quick! (DD is in a wheelchair) The waether was perfect! MK day it was about 75 night was cooler. We took jackets and stored them in the backpack. MGM was warmer, we did not need jackets even at night. 80 ish in the day. I want to go back!!

I think she was picked because it was her birthday. I made sure that I told them when I made the RSVP that it was going to be her birthday. There was a big pink ribbon on the door going into the resturant. She got to help pull the ribbon to open the door. When the door was open, Cinderella was on the other side waiting for her. She came up to my DD grabbed her hand & led her to our table while my DH pushed her wheelchair. It was so great! She loved it!! Cinderella kept her attention on Katelyn the entire walk to our table. Make sure you dress up in a princess dress!! Katelyn wore her Cindy dress & tiara!!

I know, I know! I was shocked. As was the other photographer there as well! We were running late to eat with Cinderella, and we couldn't even get her attention to tell her that I needed my card! She kept on chatting!! Thankfully the other photographer was very helpful!!
