Just back from Keystone Resort.

Not much for trip reports, but a quick note here on Keystone Resort CO. Very nice, same building had a 3 BR for sale ($950,000). Seemed high but they are very nice. Did 5 nights (includes weekends) at 37 points per night. 3BR, 3 bath, huge kitchen, living room, FP, W/D and 40 foot deck, top level with vaults (2300 turned out to be on the top floor, and underground parking. Built in 2000. Right on the slopes room 2300 in Red Hawk in River Run area-which seemed like the nicest area. Many shops and food establishments. Pool was small but very warm (temps were in the 40's at night and a sunny hot 80 each day, a rain shower almost every afternoon-seemed like WDW in January for temps). Did the Arkansas rafting, horseback, train, mine, Mountain hike, and Vail super slide and back through South Dakota. A great trip for a change of pace-but still not WDW.

Would love to hear more about your trip to this resort. We are buying a resale DVC with banked points and may want to use some for a trip to Keystone.

We just returned from 2 weeks at a cabin at the YMCA in Estes Park and Winter Park - we had a great time - beautiful areas and such a nice change from the humidity of Minnesota!

One major question - any idea if any of the Keystone condos take pets? Colorado is fairly pet friendly so hoping some of the trades for DVC will be pet friendly. Our dog always comes along during our summer family vacations but not during our spring vacation.

Also, how far out did you have to make this reservation? Any info would be helpful.... thanks! Glad you had a great time.

(Did you come through South Dakota on the way home with the Sturgis gang like we did - my girls got a eyeful! lol)

WDW2003, we saw a lot of dogs out there, but I dont know if they were at Keystone Resort. Would have to ask-the weather would be great for a dog. We reserved at about 5 months and I think they steared us into the nicest room available-I think you could call today and get in next week actually. We never asked for upper floor or anything. Also the building had to be at least 1/2 empty. Very few cars in the garage at night. There was no pool hopping and the "hidden springs" building had a much nicer pool area with a slide. I am not sure of the name (hidden Springs) but ask first. NOTE that we went over to Breck and checked out Grand Timer Lodge and would stay there next time but it was only for week long stays (280 points for 3BR). Breck had a lot more stores and action if you like that. Plus it just won some huge TS ward. More peaceful (boring) at Keystone-depends what you want. The room also came with quite a few "free" things. Bikes, boats, condala, hikes etc. at Keystone. Yea we stopped at Sturgis and Deadwood-very interesting to say the least.
