we had another great DCL vacation! At the encouragement of another DISer :cheer2: (you know who you are), I'm listing here the links to our trip summaries. The actual trip overview PDF file is not yet complete :confused3, but the the photo summaries (food, stateroom, etc.) and the navigators are available as PDF files in the links below :surfweb::

Trip Overview
*Lots of pictures but low-res to keep file size down*

Food Overview

Stateroom Overview

Goofy Mini-Golf Overview

Midship Detective Agency Case Summaries
*might contain spoiler photos*

Itinerary Navigators

Other Handouts

The cruise overview will probably be completed this weekend. Hope these are not too boring - we like to take it easy during vacation - but maybe they can help others plan their vacation! Have a good day! :goodvibes

Finally added trip overview link to first post... Enjoy! :upsidedow

We were on the same cruise. I was so disappointed to find out that we missed Donald on the Aquaduck. We had watched the 4th of July show in the atrium earlier that day. You mentioned seeing the doctor on the last morning. We saw a firetruck and an ambulance on that morning. They rolled a stretcher on the ship. We also got caught in the storm while at CC. When we were told that the beaches had closed, we didn't think that they would reopen. We left when everybody else left. The trip went by way too fast especially for me because it takes me so long to get dressed. I spent half my time in the bathroom.

Lookinf forward to reading your trip report when I get home from work. We were in 5015 right next door to you. We notice your cute door decorations. We missed Donald on the Aquaduck too! :sad1:

Hello! They didn't even advertise it, did they? I didn't understand why the Independence Day activities weren't more clearly defined... usually the Daily Navigator has specific listings, but not in this case. They were just listed as one continuous event labeled 'Fourth of July Family Fun'. I wonder if they didn't get it all finalized until last minute...? :confused3

Hey Neighbor! :goodvibes Your magnets and FE were fantastic - we would briefly stop to look at them each time we passed your door :3dglasses but never wanted to stand there too long for fear someone open the door and see us standing there staring! :scared1:

I didn't get a video of Donald on the Aquaduck but I checked youtube, and of course, someone already posted one there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1IoAcsYa3c

I enjoy hearing fellow-guests' experiences/thoughts from the sailing so thanks for posting! :goodvibes

We were on the same cruise and were also in Palo for brunch at 10:30 on sea day :wave2:. I had no idea Donald even rode the Aquaduck during our cruise :sad1:. The Bright Light medical alert on sea day was for someone tearing their rotator cuff on the basketball court. DH went down to the medical center to see if he could borrow some medical tape to fix a rip in our luggage that we were sewing (no one could find duct tape on the ship ) and the medical assistant was printing out info on shoulder injuries/rotator cuff issues. She told him that they were seeing an increase in this particular injury lately (in addition to the one that morning) and they wanted to have resources available so cruisers could take precautions.

Hi!

I really like your trip report so far. I have been reading bits of it at work...

I saw your shipmate app, but I don't seem to find one for disney? what is the name of the app you used? if you don't mind sharing.

thanks, and I'll go back to reading! :)

I hope the guest was okay. Did your luggage make it back in one piece?

Was the Palo Brunch more or less busy (or what you expected)? With all the effort it takes to get a reservation, I expected it to be packed, but it was about the same as dinner.

Thanks! The app is the free "Shipmate - Disney Cruises" app on the Android market. I don't think it's carrier-specific (i.e. AT&T, Verizon, etc.). Can you search by designer? It's Jan Jirout. Here's the link through the internet: https://market.android.com/details?id=shipmate.disney

For some reason I'm not able to open the links? Says something about not being the right format or that the file it damaged.... any ideas? (I have Adobe Acrobat REader, so not an issue of not having the program to open it)

Allow me... :badpc: (Sorry, I've always wanted to use that emoticon!)

Are you able to access the host site, http://www.mediashare.com/? If so, then try clicking on the '07/2011' link in my signature below. It should take you to the on-line folder that contains all of these files. When you click on one of the files in the folder, a new window should open up. Then click on the 'download' button and it will ask you if you want to save or open the PDF file. :thumbsup2

Amazingly enough, the medical tape being sewn onto the bag edging actually held together until we got home :thumbsup2.

We had never done Palo for brunch before, but I was shocked at how empty it was (and for dinner as well), especially given how many people are on the Dream. We went to Palo on the Wonder years ago and it was packed at dinnertime. We ended up booking our brunch the day before it occurred and had our choice of 2 times. I was really surprised it wasn't booked solid.
