We stayed at HRH 2 nights (our 3rd stay there). Had a AAA garden view room booked, and were happy with our 6th floor room with a view of the boat dock. No upgrades available as hotel was at 98% occupancy!!

Good News -
1) No one swiped our FOTL cards (or rarely, anyway) - so I guess if we'd had more time we could have redone some of the attractions before 3 pm.
2) Mummy was AWESOME, although even the express line could get long (about 30 minutes midday).

Bad News - there is no longer any express pass line for SHREK. We never got to see it, because wait times were outrageous. I talked with an employee who said only realistic was to see Shrek without a wait was to visit right when the park opened - couldn't get my DH and teenage boys up in time!

If you ask the attendants at Shrek, and tell them your a hotel guest, they let you through.

Did you tell them you were a hotel guest? You definitely should have gotten access with that.

We were there July 15-20 which covered your stay also. We ALWAYS walked right into Shrek. You need to tell them you are staying at an on-site hotel and show your room key. The hotel guest entrance is to the left when you face the theater.

Well, we definitely missed out. I asked an attendant about express line, and was told there was none, so I assumed that included on-site resort guests as well. I am going to call or email HRH suggest they tell guests when they check in that they can have FOTL at Shrek. It wasn't obvious to us :( !
At least we saw it earlier this year.

We were at PBH 17-19 July and we nearly missed out on Shrek, too. The line for resort guests is right next to the door where you access the pre-show. The only 'clue' is that there is a CM standing there. We nearly walked away, but I figured we had nothing to lose by asking. I guess you got unlucky by asking the wrong person/wrong question.

It seems if you ask for the Express entrance they tell you there is none (because there really isn't). Ask the attendants where on-site resort guests go and show your hotel key.

I didn't even ask them to let me in. I just went to the left side of the entrance (as instructed on this board:D ) with my key in hand and the workers just waved us in. Sorry you missed out.

We also had a boat dock view at the HRH and thought it was great.:D

Can you tell us a bit more about the hotel? The online pics at the website arent that good. How is the pool, food, rooms, guest services etc.........THANX!!!

what were lines like at most rides with FOTL? we may be going next July. Thanks

eblondie, My boat dock room # was 5080.

No. We were on the 5th floor. I believe most of the dogs are on the first.:D
