Just back from softball tournament at Wide World of Sports. If anyone as any questions about the sports complex, Hotel Royal Plaza or Dollar car rental I would be happy to help. We also ate at Rainforest at DTD, Landry's, Bahama Breeze, Jungle Jim's and Wolfgang Puck's.

Hi will be staying there ,did you eat ate the cafe there, also do you have any pics? Also how far is the walk to downtown disney because Im planning on going to the clubs one night
Thanks

Hello, I would like to ask what your room was like. Did you stay in the wings or the tower? And how was bus transportation to the other parks? Staying a few days in December and can't wait to see WDW. Thank you.

The rooms were great. Our team had 10 rooms in the tower. Everyone was very happy with the rooms and the hotel. The rooms in the tower are a little bit bigger and I had heard some of the regular rooms were musty and haven't been renovated so we all took tower rooms. The set up was two queen beds and a single pull-out sofa. We did not use the pull-out and it wasn't that comfortable just to sit on but there were also two chairs. We rented a fridge and there was a balcony(ask for a specific view if you want) an ironing board and iron in the armoire and plenty of drawers. We never ate in the restuarant but we ordered at the pool a couple of times(same food) and everything was very good and not too expensive.(try the turkey ruebon sp? You can easily walk to DTD in around 10 minutes and to the Goodings shopping/restuarants in about 15 to 20. In case you don't know there is a new Publix and Walgreens just across I-4 behind the Premium outlet mall. I would highly recommend this hotel and my only complaint was they charged me long distance when I called 407WDISNEY. I asked at the front desk who to call for Cirque info amd they gave me the number so I think they should have told me. It was a very expensive info seeking call. We never used the bus because we had a car and mostly went to Wide World of Sports for softball.

I'm thinking of staying there without a car. Is there a selection of restaurants within walking distance? Is it safe walking to Goodings, etc. (sideways, well lit).

Thanks!

I felt completely safe walking around in this area. I never walked to Goodings but there is a sidewalk and stoplights with a cross walk button and also a sidewalk all the way to DTD. There are alot of restuarants. If you want specifics I can tell you but there are alot of fast food and regular (family) rest. Nothing by Goodings is too fancy unless you go a little past or behind that area. At DTD the only fast food is Mc Donald's but Wolfgang Puck's wasn't too expensive and was good. We also ate at Jungle jim's by Goodings and I liked the food but the place could use some renovating and due to the pond inside its kind of musty. I think the fridge was $27 .
