Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Hilton near DD. I will post further details later but if anyone has any questions, please ask away

Yes they do as long as you take the bus from the hotel that leaves at 7 am each day

Hi,
We have ressies in early December via Priceline which states a standard room...After Priceline accepted my offer I called Hilton and requested a non-smoking room with 2 beds.
Which floors, views and/or room numbers would you suggest I request when I check in?
What were your dining options for breakfast? Which were the best value?
and my last question...
Do they still give you a free parking pass to the Parks?

We also went via priceline. When I called to check on the room they had it reserved as a 2 Double Bed Accessible room. I called and let them know that we didn't need to have a handicap access. room and told them that a standard room with 2 doubles would be fine. We also request a room on the Downtown disney side as high as possible. We were in room 871 but any along that corridor on the 6-8th floor would be good views(the 9th and 10th floor are the tower rooms so I didn't even bother asking for a room on either of those floors. On the other side of the hallway you would look out to Hotel Plaza Blvd and on the other side of the building you would overlook the wonderful sight of I-4. Although we were never up late enough to see them the fireworks from DD would have been a great view from the room.

Breakfast was available from several different places. The covington mill has a breakfast buffet for around 13/person that was very good. I think that they also serve a la carte There is also a small market that sells pastries, donuts and muffins. The market would be more reasonable but not a full breakfast.

I don't know about the parking, I was under the impression that it was free but the gate attendants on both days that we drove said that it wasn't. I didn't think to ask at the hotel if they had something that would have made it free. The shuttle is very good. At busy times it only stops at the Hilton and the Grosevenor but be careful, during the afternoon slow time it seemed to stop at every DD hotel before going to the parks

Look out for the timeshare sales sharks, they inhabit stands by the elevators and also the concierge desk. They kept trying to get us to come to the sales pitch with a deal for 3nights/4days for 189.00 at the hilton with additional days at 115.00/night. For my 5 night stay that would have cost 419.00. Through priceline I paid 375 and didn't have to sit through their bs presentation.

Sorry to be so long winded.

:)

higgin704,

Thank You very much for the excellent info...I couldn't find very many trip reports that included the DD Hilton.

I paid $75 (plus $20 bonus) per night also for 5 nights...It's was the only 4* that came up during that week as I start at $33 and worked my way up to the $75 bids using all the other non-4* zones...I was hoping for the $33 (+bonus) for the Wyndam Palace.

We also scored air via Priceline for $140 RT from Seattle.

The savings allows us to see Cirque Du Soleil just across the street this trip and to make this our second year in a row going to Florida!

;)
