It is a truly beautiful resort. :) We own at VWL and BCV, but didn't book in time to stay there. There were 12 of us, we had a two-bedroom and two studios. I requested to be in The Springs, but were assigned to The Paddock, 5000 building. All rooms were on the third floor, which was kind of weird because our room numbers were 5010, 5001, and 5023. The odd numbered rooms had the better view, of the bridge and the fountain, and the two-bedroom, which was room 5010, had a partial view of the parking lot, the road, and the Reedy Creek Fire Department, as well as the water, buildings and pathways. We faced the water and the parking lot view was off to the left, so it was still very nice. I don't think there is truly a bad view in that whole resort.

We've been to WDW many, many times, and VWL is still my favorite resort, with the BCV coming in second. The majority of the rest of our group favor the BCV, but mainly for the location. We were all in agreement though, that SSR was also very, very nice. The teens were just wishing they were closer to Epcot and MGM, although they did enjoy walking to DTD.

It took approximately five minutes to walk over the bridge to the main building and pool, and it was very enjoyable. I really didn't want to stay here because I thought it was too spread out, but the size is deceiving. Everything is very well laid out.

The only disappointment was the Artist's Palette. They really need to expand the food selection both of the prepared foods and the grocery items. I also think their general store area was on the smallish side, with not as good of a selection as their counterparts.

One of the high points was The Turf Club. We celebrated my sis-in-law's birthday there on Friday night, the 27th, and the food was outstanding. Everyone loved their meals. We had the ribs, the pasta dish, mussels, fried calamari, and chicken. It was all delicious, as we all sampled each other's dishes.

I also have to say the bus service was good to average, the only bad thing was that by the third stop there were no more seats on the bus. Fortunately for us, The Paddock was either the first or one of the first stops, so we always had a seat, but we usually ended up getting up for a mom with kids. This mainly only happened in the morning though, as everyone was heading out for the day. We never had more than a five minute wait coming home from a park.

For those of you concerned about the outside hallways, and I have to admit I was one of them, we didn't mind them at all. They are large, spacious, well-lit, the elevators are speedy if you choose to use them, and there are numerous staircases as well.

We loved how close SSR is to DTD, as we loooovvveeee to shop at The Marketplace. The two twenty-somethings in the group also loved how close it is to Pleasure Island!!! So, we had a great trip, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Oh yeah, my brother was relieved, as he bought into SSR back in January while staying with us at the BCV! :thumbsup2
