Just back from Disney!

Well to start off I will say this was not the Magical trip like we have had in the past. We were there for 9 days and I was ready to come home. I am never ready to come home . Now it wasn't all bad- all the time. But most of the time. Here's why...we went with a ton of family members. That is something we never do and will never do it again. We spent most of our time waiting for someone...whether it was a potty break, a smoke break or just leaving extremely late from the resort waiting on everyone to get ready. Now I am female and I can get ready to go the parks in five minutes. These gals were taking like 2 hours or more . It was very hot and humid! We would be out for like 5 minutes and sweat would be dripping off our elbows. I have never been when it was ever this hot. The humidity at one point was 85%!
It was a little more crowded than I expected. But the lines weren't to bad. Some
of them even walk on. One night Splash and Pirates was like a 2 minute wait. So there were some perks
Ok, here are the things I liked:
-Haunted Mansion! It was totally different (will not spoil)
-I did like the some of the music on the buses
-Loved all the food (DDP)
-Watching my son with Mickey~ again
-The ME
-All the shows we went to were great!
-The friendly cast members

Here are some things I didn't like:
-Waiting-of course
-Not hearing the bus drivers talk with the guest
-The huge amount of smokers not smoking in designated areas
-The humidity
-Not seeing the parades because members of the family were tired...
-The love bugs!! They kept flying into my ear. Although my son had fun pulling them apart.

So this trip is just going to be tucked away and I am already planning our next trip for December of next year. It will only be the immediate family as it has been in the past. So I do have something to look forward to.

Sorry to hear that you had a dissapointing family trip. I know what you mean about hot! DH and I were at WDW over Labor Day and sweated our Mickey ears off!!! It is amazing how hot September is. We always go this time of year but I think it was hotter this year. I love it because there are no lines so it makes it worth the sweat. My DH also missed the bus drivers talking. It felt so unpersonal.

Hi Cyndi! I am Cindy..
I think they told us that this September was hotter than usual. Which made it worse because of certain family members couldn't stand the heat and had to sit down every 10 minutes. And because they were our guest, we felt obligated to stay with them. We did have one bus driver that talked to us the entire trip which was nice because some of them are so fun. The recording really makes it a lot less personal. Like I said, we have next year to think about and plan for. But definitely going in December when it's cooler.
