Hi all....... here's our trip report.
Adventurer's Cast:
Me (32) Dis-aholic and neverending planner..... planning Oct 2004 and May 2005 already
Dis-fiance (39) first trip since age 10 and good sport to put up with my planning!!!!
Smiley Ryleigh - our disabled DD (7) it was her birthday trip!!!!
Nov. 8/03 ...So we left our house to stay at an airport hotel on Nov.9 as we needed to be at the airport for 5am-ish. Stayed at the Toronto Wyndham bristol Place Hotel and wow.... the room was huge and gorgeous for the $50 CDN I paid to stay. ( Thanks Wyndham 72 hour sale!)
Nov. 9/03..... Got up as planned but forgot to zip up suitcase. Ran out the door and everything fell out into the hall. We missed the shuttle by a hair, but the guy came back and gave us our own shuttle bus run!!!! :O) First magic moment! Got to the airport and flight was on time...... went without a hitch. Arrived in a wet, rainy and dismal Orlando at 10am and went to get our budget car! Found out it was too small for alll Ryleigh's equipment so we upgtraded for an extra $50 to a minivan!
Spent day in Downtown Disney and finally checked in at Hotel Royal Plaza at 4pm. The room again was lovely for the $129US we paid. It was for a one night stay. We were placed in a room next to the outdoor elevator but wasn't worried as I had read on the boards..... I called at 11;45pm as the elevator was still being used. They promptly turned it off and diverted traffic to the main one's inside the building!
Dinner was at O'hana's that evening! Great as usual but I was disappomited in the main server. We seemed to always be looking for him and ended up having the server who does the drinks serve us. Her name was Mandy and she was happy to help. Ryleigh loved the kids hula hooping and cocnut chasing... plus we had great seats for the fireworks!!!!!
Part 2- The move to AKL and Animal Kingdom!
