I just got back last night from my third stay at CSR. For the most part we were happy with our stay, but we did have a few problems.

First the good - The resort was beautiful as always. The staff was friendly and very helpful. DS got sick in the middle of our stay and they really helped me out with getting new ADR's and tickets to the Pirate and Princess Party. At check in I requested a downgrade because we were in a water view room that we didn't really want (it was al that was available when I booked). They did it with no problem. Also I requested Cabanas and got that too! We had a great room location, ground floor in building 8A. It was a very short walk to the Dig Site and the bus stop. It wasn't too far to the main building either.

Now the bad - I read a couple of months ago that CSR room are going to be refurbed this year. I hope that's true because they are starting to look pretty bad. The paint was chipped all over our room and the furniture was pretty beat up. Mousekeeping didn't restock the coffee in our room for three days in a row. And the worst was the bus service. It just wasn't as good as it has been on previous trips. On Sunday morning we waited over 40 minutes for an Animal Kingdom bus and ended up missing park opening. A couple of times the wait was around 30 minutes leaving the parks. It did seem to get better towards the end of our stay so maybe we were just unlucky. I really hope so!

Overall we still had a good stay and will probably stay here again. Even with the long waits for busses, they were usually pretty empty (with the exception of that AK bus which was standing room only!). Anyway, if you have any questions, I will try to answer them!

We are considering this resort for our 1st WDW stay with our kids. Now, after reading your post, I'm discouraged by the bussing situation. That was one of our main concerns with the resort. That makes for a miserable time in my opinion. Also, the room comment of the rooms needing refurbished leave a little to desire as well. Looks like perhaps, I'll be back to the drawing board of resort choices again:confused3 :surfweb: Any feedback and especially if you have any photos to share would be great! How is the food, pool, etc?

The food and pool were terrific. There are lots of choices to please everyone at the Pepper Market and we ate there three times during our stay. We also ate at the pool bar once and it was pretty good.

The pool was great and never crowded. My DD had the baby pool to herself.

And please don't be put off by my comments. While I was discouraged, I would stay there again without hesitation. It is still a wonderful resort, it just wasn't as good as it had been in my past stays.

While the busses at times were frustrating sometimes they were wonderful. On Friday night after leaving Fantasmic at DHS we were the only people on our bus while the All Star and POP busses were packed. Again, I posted more in disappointment that they weren't as great as they had been in previous stays.

Our room was a little beat up, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable, which was what was most important to us. They really just need painting I think. I haven't downloaded my pictures yet, but will post them when I do.

Please don't change your resort choice just based on my comments. I still feel that it's a great resort and I would stay there again. It wasn't a bad trip, just a little disappointing.

Welcome back saffymom! Thanks for sharing!! I heard a rumor that I'll be looking to confirm in 16 days when I arrive that CSR rooms will be getting rahabbed. I don't know if it's 100% but I'll try and get some answers.

Sorry about the bus. That's happened to me once or twice in nine trips. Once at DtD and once at AK. Overall though the buses are some of the best I've experienced.

One trip I witnessed an accident between a bus and car near MGM. Every that bus was going, it was going to be very late. We don't always know the reasons but late buses can happen at any resort. Any when you waiting, it seems like forever.
