FIrst let me say, I thought this resort was beautiful! I would definitely stay again. We stayed in 8A overlooking the water (and didn't even request a preferred view!) I had requested this building via fax 3 days before arrival and we checked in at 8AM. We couldn't get into the room until later. They said call around 3, but we didn't get back until after 7PM. This dig site is great! And the jacuzzi was extra hot and wonderful!. I loved having the business center there. I was able to get a box and ship home all my dirty clothes with no problem at all (we do this every trip, makes room for souvenirs, LOL) We needed 2 rooms and actually got connecting rooms, even though I said that if they could just be within a few doors of each other, that would be fine. The bar was also open late one night (until around 1AM) which I think might be more likely to happen here because it is a conference center. I know AS was usually closed before midnight.
Now for the nitpicky in me...I was reminded how really large these resorts are. I find the AS much easier to get around. It's really quite a trek to go to the lobby for something. I don't mind the walk, but just can't adjust to the fact that if I need aspirin, it's going to take me 20-25 minutes to get it and get back to the room. It took me all of the three days we were there to figure out which stairs to go up and down. IMO they're a little sparse on stairways and what with all the corners and bends, I never seemed to choose the right one. Also figuring out which parking space was closest to our roon (via the closest stair)took a couple tries. I think they should move the refillable mug station to an area that's easier to get to. BTW the coffee in the room was much better than at the food court. I was disappointed they said the quiet pools close at midnight. I thought they were supposed to be open 24 hours. We had one monring with no hot water! UGH!!! It was JUST barely warm enough to rinse off without freezing, but I like a hot shower to soak in in the morning. I guess a few of the buildings had that problem. By 10AM they had fixed it, but by then, for me, it was too late. The room was fine (although the carpet did need to be restretched)
That's all for now. any questions?
