Just returned from a wonderful stay at CSR. We were in the Casitas room 5252. Second floor. We did not ask for a water view, however if we were lucky enough to get one. If we looked to our left we had a great view of the lake. Also had a great view of a courtyard with a fountain from our window. It was about a 5 min walk to the Dig site and the Pepper Maket. The only complaint was that we asked for Mousekeeping to bring additional shampoo during the day and they never did. Also we were in the non-smoking section and our friends room (connecting) smelled like smoke. Nothing that Disney can do., It just makes me mad that someone would do that in a non-smoking room. If you have any question please ask. I will do my best to answer.

How was the food at the Pepper Market? Did you get the reifillable mugs? If so, was it worth it? Were frozen drinks available for the refiillable mugs? How was bus service to the parks?
Thanks for sharing.

The food was not as good as we have had in the past. I had the Fett with Chicken and fajitas. I did not care for them. My wife and son split a steak one night and a prime rib ine night and they very good. Yes we did a mug. My wife purchased a 64oz mug for a little over $20.00. For four of us to split it was very much worth the price. I don't believe that the mugs can be filled with frozen drinks. As far as the bus system we had our van and drove everywhere.

Hope this helps.

I see that you have stayed at CBR before too. How does CSR compare to CBR? Which resort did you like better? Personally I didn't care for CBR and I have reservations for CSR, which I'm second guessing. Thanks.

When we stayed at CBR we did not have a good experience. I thought the staff was a bit rude and our room had a hole in the wall. It was on the bottom of teh wall toward the door but it was noticable. I want to give CBR one more chance, however my wife is really against it. She is a big PO fan.

One more ting that I did not mention before about CSR that we loved was the curtin between the sink/bath area. I am an early riser, and this allowed me to shower and get ready for the day with out bothering my sleeping family.

I too am a fan of POR. Did you like CSR enough to want to go back or would you rather visit PO? I do like the boat to DTD from PO.

The privacy curtain is very helpful. Take it from someone who gets up about 1-2 hours before others in the room:earsboy:

Stayed at CSR in May; very beautiful resort; was not impressed with the Pepper Market; I was solo, attending a conference, so tried the Pepper Market several times and it was not very good; bus got a little boring as I was at stop #1 and on the way back, stop #1 was the last one ... got tired of riding around the resort .. but other than that, staff was great and grounds were very beautiful ... great gift shop also.

would you stay at the POFQ, POR or CSR? I can't decide! It's just me and my DH.

We went to CBR, CSR, POR i will never go back to POR again the room was dirty had to clean myself and i am not a clean freak rug stained mattress so old that if you leaned on you fell off. i complained to CM got upgrade to AKL christmas week was great. CBR just there great experience all good CSR was just as good just like foliage at CBR better.

DH and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE CBR and are going for our fourth time in January. But although we love CBR, we decided we are going to try out CSR also and request the Casitas section - hope we will be as impressed:)

We just got back also from CSR. We only ate at the Pepper Market twice and both times thought it was pretty good. For breakfast we had a plate of eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a biscuit. It cost 7.50 and was so much food dh and I could share. The kids had cereal. I was looking for muffins, but I found them only in the little store next to Pepper Market---which btw, is a good alternative for quick and easy food. We also had a late lunch early dinner there. I had the ham and cheese sandwich. It was so big I saved half of it for later. DH had the BBQ sandwich and said it was "so-so", but we're from Texas and particular about our BBQ...I'm surprised he even ordered the BBQ. For the kids they were accomodating with making a fruit switch. The kids pizza came with oranges, but ds a allergic so I asked for grapes and the guy did it, but he said he had to put the grapes on my plate so it didn't look suspicious---whatever that means. Also, if you get your food to go you won't be charged the 10%, just tell them when you arrive that you want to get it to go. I think the mugs were worth it even if we only filled them with soda a few times. We have neat suvineirs (sp?).

The buses are great. Only one day we had a long wait. We had to wait 40-45 minutes for a bus to MGM, but as it turns out there was a bus or two that were down. We were at bus stop #4. We used bus stop #1 a couple of times and found it to be crowded. If you use bus stop #1 then you will probably have to stand. Also, when leaving the parks the bus stop to get back to CSR is conveiniently located when leaving the parks.
