just back from Contemporary if any questions

Just back from a quick trip at the Contemporary - tower room overlooking the MK. The room did have a frig. Also, we noticed that it did not have a retractable clothesline. No place to put wet bathing suits!

Did they have the new bigger TV's? Not that I'll be watching much TV !!

How was the transportation especially to Downtown Disney? How was the food center?

3 for WDW: We didn't go to Downtown Disney from the Contemporary, so I can't answer that. Sorry. We also did only fries and drinks from the food center, so not much to "write home about." I did think it seems dark and hidden in their snack center whereas others ones I've been to have windows to make it appear more open.

Drgnfly30: Tvs seemed the usual small ones.

Missypie: I thought some things did appear run-down such as worn carpet and ripped wall paper. The sides of the "balcony walls" were rusted and peeling. The cleanliness of the room was fine until I lifted up the comforter to check if we hadn't left anything when we were leaving, and I here I found all kinds of yucky little things: cracker bits, candy wrappers, even a pill. If I had a crawling toddler, this would have made me pretty upset. I know the room is shared by hundreds of people, but I don't want to see "leftovers" from previous visits. So I'd rate the hotel between 6-8 on cleanliness and upkeep.

We had stayed at the Contemporry 2 days on Sept. 15&16 and when we were leaving on the 17th to move over to the poly outside our room and every room on the floor in the tower were the bigger tvs. they were putting them in after we left:-( we only turned on the one in the room to check on the weather.
