We just got home last night from a week at CBR. We got lucky this trip and had a wonderful room location - bldg. 22 in Martinique, room 2222. Our room faced the lake with a wonderful view of the lighthouse at OPR and we were just a few steps from the beach and the playground equipment (which my 4yo took full advantage of). It was a fairly quick walk to our bus stop, quiet pool, and to OPR. Overall, service was pretty good but we did notice some messes on the sidewalks that got left for several days before someone finally cleaned them up. Our room was also starting to show signs of needing a refurb. Of course, these were not things that were going to ruin our trip. Our only real complaint was that bus service was pretty bad for the non-EMH parks of the day. More than once we had extra long waits (more than 30 minutes) and during that time would see 2 or 3 busses for the EMH parks and even Downtown Disney come through. I was really surprised to see DTD busses run that often - I've always had to wait about 45 minutes for those no matter where I was staying. This was our second time at CBR and I'm glad we went back for another stay. Our first time was just a long weekend - not enough time to really enjoy the resort. This time we spent more time at the pool, played on the beach, etc. All that said, I think we are done with staying onsite but primarily because it just doesn't work for us anymore. We've always liked using the onsite transportation, taking advantage of early entry, and being able to ship packages back to the room but none of that worked out well for us this time. Our needs and preferences have changed and there's no point all being crammed into one room when we could have a condo or pool home for the same money (or less). I still love the themeing of the resorts and might still chose a Disney resort for a short stay but for longer trips I think we'll probably go with pool homes. Let me know if I can answer any questions.
