Loved it!!!!

My DH & I were there 5/21-5/28 and had a great time!

We were in room 3608 in Trinidad South--bottom corner w/ a courtyard. We were close to the pool and bus stop--right around the corner.

It was such a nice resort--pretty and quiet.

Got towel animals our first day--what a treat!! I was so excited. Mousekeeping had our blinds up and they were looking out the window--too cute.

Ate at Old Port Royale once for breakfast--it was ok.

Rented Sea Raycers for a 1/2 hour one day--it was fun but they don't go too fast.... :sad2:

Used only WDW buses--had absolutely no problems. We waited only 5-10 mins. and once for 15 mins. We got to our 8:30 KTTK tour w/ time to spare! The only time the buses were crowded was at night after we left parks a couple of times.

Any questions--just ask, I'll be happy to answer them!!!

How were the crowds?? What was the wait time for the attractions?? Thanks. :flower:

The crowds were pretty big! It was the first time I had gone to WDW in May and I know the Celebration had a lot to do w/ the crowds also. Wait times for the rides got pretty long by the afternoon. We saw some at 90 mins. Especially for Soarin'---and the fastpass machines were off too....so make sure you go early to the popular rides and get a fastpass. We rode Space Mountain first thing in the morning, then grabbed a fastpass for it and went to MGM. We came back that night and rode it w/ our fastpass. Our guide on the KTTK tour told us the fastpasses were good all day---you don't HAVE to go back in the hour it says...you just can't go before that hour. Just a little tip! ;)

Was Trinidad South pretty quiet? I will be staying there again in Nov. How far from Port Royale were you? Thanks. :)

Did you have a fridge in your room?

I am hoping there are because we will be there in three weeks and we like buying juice and milk the night before to have breakfast in our room.

Trinidad South is the farthest away. I didn't want to be there but I thought I would go and check it out before I requested to be moved. I liked it a lot. It was far away from Old Port Royale but it didn't bother me because we didn't go there that much anyway. As I said, we only ate there once and that was our departure day. It was a 10-15 min. walk from our room. We didn't do the mug thing because I knew we wouldn't drink that much. We brought water from home and used our snack coupons for water too.

Yes, all the rooms have fridges and they are pretty roomy. We had 8 bottles of water in there when we arrived.

::MickeyMo Is the resort really as big as some say? Were there bus problems? We were thinking of staying there one time but heard the resort is huge.

:::We were there in May as well and didn't have any crowds until the 21st. It's like it all hit at once. We went from 10 minute waits to 90 minute waits. Good thing we left that day.:::: ::MinnieMo

Yes, the resort is huge. We took the internal resort shuttle a couple of times. Like we had to go to the Custom House to get our snacks fixed on our card and we also used it to go to OPR a few times. It was just easier that way. We walked so much in the parks that the last things we wanted to do at our resort was walk more!! LOL!

YUP---90 min. waits on rides. Thank God for fastpass!!!

forgot----we never had a problem w/ the buses. They say they run 1 hr. before park opening....but they actually start running before that.

Although we really want to stay close to MK, I'm beginning to wonder if the proximity is really worth the extra $grand$ it'll cost us to stay in a deluxe versus a moderate resort, and CBR is now moving up on my list. I like everything I've read about it -- just worried about the commuting time (with a 2yo), since we plan to spend most of our time at MK, and may not visit Epcot at all.

Thanks!
