Review Just back from Caribe Royale stayed 2/21-24

We just stayed 3 nights at Caribe Royale. We loved it! Very recently renovated rooms. We were in Tower 1 overlooking the pool. The pool is really nice with waterfall and waterslide. Though they do not keep their pool heated as high as the Disney resorts. I couldn't go in it was too chilly for me.
We paid $105 per night for our suite on hotwire.com. One room has 2 queen beds and plasma tv. The other room has desk & chair, chair and pullout sofa and another plasma tv. Very nice decor!
Very nice resort. We did go to Mk one day while we were staying there and I did miss the onsite transportation. But other than that it's a great hotel. Much nicer room than our room at CBR.

Is the waterslide age appropriate for a 2.5 yr old?

Can this 2.5 year old already swim? My son(he's 12) said it was pretty fast. Maybe with a life jacket and someone waiting at the bottom they might be o.k.
I have to say the Caribbean Beach's (we stayed here 7 nights prior to Caribe Royale) pool area is so well so suited for young children. They have a seperate area with small waterslides for young children. Have you considered staying there? I think it's a great resort for families with young children. Caribe Royale is beautiful and the rooms are great (my boys are older so we appreciated the pull-out sofa) but it seemed to have alot of conventioners and seemed more adult oriented.

thanks for the review. I just booked 3 nights b4 we check into the Boardwalk. The one bdrm villa is about 50$ cheaper (mousesaver rate) than POP...which I am calling to cancel now.
