We just got home from 8days/7 nights in a cabin (2704) with 6 of us. It was wonderful and thanks to all the great advice on the DIS my family thinks I am a vacation planning goddess! After getting such great help I hope I can help someone else!:p

We'll be going at the end of Aug.

How was your location? What loop would you reommend?

How was the internal bus system? Did you rent a golf cart?

How are the pools at FW?

What else?

Thanks

welcome back! I'm glad you had a good time! Did your cabin have 1 or 2 televisions?

please tell all we need to know. Were you cramped in the cabin? How many tv's?.........

Sorry - we had to out of town for a wedding so I didn't get back to my computer!

We stayed in cabin 2704 which was the 2nd cabin in from the entrance to the loop and very close to the bus stop (which was great). The 2700 loop is huge so if you aren't near the front you could have quite a hike just to get out of the loop. We were very happy with it and the cabin was just beautiful - the pictures I had seen didn't do them justice! We had 4 adults and 2 kids and I never felt cramped but we also weren't there all that much. The bathroom is quite large and there is a mirror and mounted hairdryer in the bedroom so that was helpful.

TVs - only 1 in the living room but we didn't care since we never even turned it on til the day before we left to check the weather.

Golf Cart - we had one and I personally would recommend it. FW is a huge place and the cabins are at the front end of the park and the marina, trail's end etc is at the other end. You can take buses but we found it a lot faster to use the cart. We did have our bikes along but it was so hot we only used them a couple of times.

Pools - we only went to the pool by the cabins so I don't even know what the meadows pool looks like! It was fine but after the water parks not very exciting. There was no slide or anything so we only used it once (but we went to all 3 water parks!)

Busses - at first we used the busses a lot to get around but we had family also staying at Coronado Springs that didn't have a car so we started dring sometimes for convenience. The busses can take a long time to get some places! We always took the ferry to the MK which was nice and there is a direct bus (well almost direct) to Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach. We drove to the water parks though so we wouldn't have to carry everything with us on the bus.

Long reply! I hope that helps!

What was the sofa bed like for sleeping. Comfortable or uncomfortable? We have 2 adults that will be using it. I know most times its the kids that use it. Just want to know if we'll have to worry about sore backs.

My DH and I always sleep on the murphy bed in the living room area. It is not the most comfortable bed in the world, but it is ok (maybe because we are so exhausted by the time we fall into it!). The last one we had kind of dipped in the middle, so we each had to sleep way over and up on our sides or fall in to the middle together (oh well!).

Our murphy bed was pretty good actually - 1000% better than any sofa sleeped I've ever been subjected to! It's basically a mattress on a platform that swings down from out of the wall and it is pretty firm. I slept just fine on it (course I was so exhausted every night I probably could have slept on a bed of nails! :p
