I posted on the BWV thread on the resorts board, but I thought some DVC members might not look over there. We rented points and stayed in a 2 BR standard villa at BWV from June 9-16. It was wonderful! DH, who is not a big Disney fan, gave the room and the resort an A+. We have stayed at Poly, Beach Club, AKL, CSR and OKW, as well as in a 2BR at Vero Beach, and this was our new favorite spot. The room was very clean, we had a great view of the Illuminations fireworks from the one BR part (4105), transportation was good (we drove to AK and once to MK), parking was fine and the cast members were among the friendliest of any we have encountered at WDW.

We were completely spoiled by the space, and we loved having the washer and dryer since we got caught in the rain a few times. I have not yet convinced DH to buy into DVC, but he would definitely rent points again.

Both pullouts were used by the kids with no complaints. They seemed pretty comfortable, but I didn't sleep on them.

Two small negatives - the dryer in the room took forever, and the kids (my two DDs and DD13's friend) all thought the slide hurt. They went down it on their backs and didn't ride it again. But they liked the pool and DD9 enjoyed the games in the afternoon.

Welcome back! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I agree with the slide, it hurts when laying down, maybe I'm getting old but I need to sit up when going down it now.

I really like the area that your room was in. Not too far from the elevators and you get the bonus of seeing the upper IllumiNations fireworks.

Did they say specifically what on the slide bothered them?

Glad you had a great stay! We are staying our first time in December and can't wait!

I think it was where the joints were. They probably would have been fine if they were sitting up, but all three kids (my two and DD's friend) said the same thing as they came down the slide one by one. They still enjoyed the pool a lot, though!

We were in a great spot. It was not too far from the elevators, not far from the stairs down to the bus stop or parking lot, and it was quiet. :thumbsup2

Thank you for your report. What a breath of fresh air! lol. We are staying in a 1 bdrm std in October. It's our first time at BWV.
