Arrived back early Sunday morning from 1-BR at BWV. Room and pool were in excellent condition -- love taking the boat to EPCOT & MGM -- we took our car to AK & MK. Dropped off our luggage at 9:30 AM at BWV and went to MGM where we picked up our first AP at MGM Guest Relations. First time our youngest DD6 daughter could ride the Rockin Roller coaster but she did not like it but loved Expedition Everest the next day. Saw our favorite Fantasmic show twice, Illuminations, Wishes and Spectromagic shows.
Did the Disney Dining Plan for the first time and it was a great value and you get so much food! Paid $ 749.00 for 6 days for 3 adults + 1 child (DD 10 is considered an adult). Each table meal would have cost about $ 110-150 per night, each counter meal was $ 50.00 and daily snack was $12-15. Having a table meal each night gave us 1.5 hours to relax and try new restaurants -- Our reservations were at Prime Time Cafe (MGM), Teppenyaki (EP), Boma (AKL), Chef Mickey (CR), La Cellier (EP), Liberty Tree Tavern (MK). We were very happy with our meals and would say La Cellier (sp?) in Canada was the best. I did not think that I would like the structure of having to be at certain place at a certain time but it is much better to be prepared and make your reservations well in advance -- you can not just walk up anymore to any of these restaurants and get in (saw countless people try each night) so our
obsessive compulsive behavior to plan in advance is rewarded in the new dining system.
