We just returned lastnight
from 9 wonderful days at WDW. Lots of "Welcome Home" greetings throughout the entire week. This was DH's first time "home" so he got a kick out of that. Every CM was cheery and pleasant. You really got that "Magical" feeling as soon as you arrived.
We stayed in Room 3123 which made me very happy! We had requested that room and was pleased when we got it. Yes it's a LONG walk to the elevators, but it's a corner room so you have the very large living room and balcony. Everything was very clean and in order. No mold, dust, food leftovers, or any of the other things you may have read about here on the boards. One note: ants... I saw more of them in the kitchen this year than prior years. No problem. Just pickup the crumbs that drop on the floor!!! Once I got the "boys" to clean up after themselves, problem gone!
You had a great view each night of the fireworks from Epcot too!
I saw/heard no renovation work at all. Just one day, as we walked to the bus, they were steam cleaning some of the balconies on the side rooms. But that was only one day.
Transportation seems to have improved. We did EE to MK one day and only had about a 10 minute wait for a bus and there was plenty of room for all.
Parks were crowded. We only did 1 EE day and that was the MK. We utilized FP alot and it really worked out well. Weather wise it rained for the first couple of days we were there. But that was really to our advantage because most of the parks were not that bad on those days. We walked onto Mission Space (I don't like it; I got sick again) and had a really short wait for TT. But once the sun came out, so did the crowds! But all in all it wasn't that bad.
If there are any questions I'll be happy to try and answer them.
