The staff was awesome - actually surprised that they remained so enthusiastic everytime they did the Nick games both poolside and in the studio. They were 100% excellent. I saw very few construction guys and they were pretty much out of the way (not hanging around by the pool or anything). The check-in had one person in front of me. The check in guy was totally willing to find me a room which I requested (ground floor not facing the pool). I think the rooms facing the pool would be a little noisy (we have a baby). Anyway, we were in building 5, which is by the smaller pool (maybe takes 10 seconds to walk around the corner to get into the pool area), and very close to the mall. Ground floor is nice - no stairs or elevators and our car was right in front. We were happy to be by the smaller pool. It seemed warmer, and because they other pool with the giant slide thing just opened, our pool was less crowded. We did go to the bigger one one day (a couple minute walk) -- it really wasn't that crowded either.
We ordered from Pizza Hut one day - not too impressed with that. We had the buffet character breakfast one day -- pretty good (staff was aweswome). Then we ate ate Ponderossa, just up the road (about a mile) a couple times (3.99 buffet breakfast, $8.99 buffett dinner - both quite good).
Laundry was right around the corner from our room - lots of machines, and we were the only ones using it.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here - we liked it (only wish our days weren't so full with the parks, so we could spend more time relaxing by the pools.
